Candidate Requirements:
- An MBA degree holder is highly preferred.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management and/or Administration, Actuarial Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years in Commercial Strategy Analytics, Sales or Sales Analytics, Investment Banking/Private Equity Analytics, Corporate Finance/Business Analytics, Business Consulting, is preferred.

Responsibilities Include
- Assist in the development and execution of commercial strategies that align with Sony Pictures’ goals and objectives, and achieve our APAC team’s financial goals and strategic initiatives.
- Formulate commercial proposals, term sheets, build financial models, and conduct market and deal-level analysis to support commercial negotiations associated with TV and Feature Film Content licensing deals across all of Asia.
- Take ownership of analyzing a high volume of commercial deals in close collaboration with SPT’s Asia Sales and Sales Planning teams, ensuring both timely execution and comprehensive evaluation. Deliver well-structured financial models and deal recommendations to the Reporting Manager and/or Senior Management.
- Collaborate with offices across Asia, Los Angeles, and London, as well as across various functions including Finance, Legal, Marketing, Transactional Sales, and New and Emerging Media teams to manage commercial discussions, contracting long forms, and best practices across the APAC region.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of internal processes and guidelines for all aspects related to deals, including deal review and approval processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement with the Director of Commercial Strategy.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
- MBA degree holder is highly preferred.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management and/or Administration, Actuarial Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum 4 to 5 years in Commercial Strategy Analytics, Sales or Sales Analytics, Investment Banking/Private Equity Analytics, Corporate Finance/Business Analytics, Business Consulting, is preferred.
- Ability to navigate through a steep learning curve to quickly understand the diverse market dynamics across Asia, along with Content licensing deal structuring processes and licensing terms.
- Has a strong aptitude for crafting creative deal structures, with the ability to thoughtfully evaluate trade-offs and assess the commercial implications of various options.
- Proven experience of owning and driving commercial strategy process and outcomes.
- High numeracy and analytical ability, problem-solving with rigor, excellent attention to detail.
- Persuasive communication skills, clear presentation, and written skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Committed, proactive and driven to deliver.
- Able to work with a wide range of people of different seniority levels, inside and outside the company.
- Strong strategic mind-set and focus, with the ability to work in teams and under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the Media Entertainment Industry in Asia is highly preferred. A passion for the Television, Film, and Entertainment industry is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English is required; ability to speak Mandarin, Korean, and /or Japanese a plus.
