We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Singapore Branch. This role will provide comprehensive legal support across banking and financial services, ensuring full compliance with Singapore's regulatory framework and supporting the Bank's business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a broad spectrum of banking and financial matters, including regulatory compliance, corporate governance, data protection (PDPA), outsourcing, and commercial contracts.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Legal Counsel, you are accountable for:
· The Job Holder will be responsible for securing the legal aspects of the services implemented for supporting export initiatives undertaken by the Thales Operational Units in the relevant Region's countries. With due reference to best practices and ethics rules, she/he will participate in identification, selection and qualification of the business and industrial partners and be responsible for analyzing, implementing and monitoring due diligence files, in close coordination with the Country Directors and all relevant local functions.
· The Job Holder will be as close as possible to operational functions and help in elaborating relevant contractual solutions and identifying legal stakes so that risks are detected, measured and mitigated. In compliance with Thales Group policy, the Job Holder will interface with external lawyers for analysis and management of specific legal issues in the framework of complex contractual and/or legal arrangements in the Region.
· The Job Holder will be responsible for performing trainings in different domains of the Thales Compliance Program, to employees of the Region and from the Thales Operating Units located across the world.
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
· The Job Holder shall have a minimum of 4 years professional experience as in-house lawyer or legal & contracts manager providing support to business in an international environment.
· He/She shall have a good practice of international environment and compliance matters.
· He/She shall have a perfect command of French and English, as this role requires frequent and effective communication with French-speaking teammates and customers. Fluency in these languages is essential to ensure smooth coordination, foster strong working relationships, and successfully manage interactions across diverse teams and client bases. Proficiency in both languages will enable the candidate to navigate complex conversations, facilitate clear information exchange, and contribute to the overall success of the team
