We are seeking a Sales Data Analyst to join our team in supporting the lead Sales Representative.

This is a 6 months contract role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Support the creation, validation, and maintenance of Management Information (MI) reports to meet both standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements across Business Management, Sales Management, Salesforce Management, and Finance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of sales data, customer information, and other relevant records in the system.
  • Uphold data integrity and accuracy by adhering to established processes and controls.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales-related processes and reporting requirements, including responding to analytics queries and maintaining timely communication with clients.
  • Timely distribution of assigned reports and analytics in accordance with specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for the application of advanced analytics and automation to improve efficiency in report production processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth sales operations and deliver consistent customer service excellence.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, including managing correspondence, updating Salesforce records, and preparing sales presentations and proposals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company products and services to effectively support the sales team and address customer enquiries.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business or related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales analytics or sales support role with prior experience dealing with data.
  • Prior experience in sales reporting and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in data analysis and modelling using Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with BI and data visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI will be an added advantage.

You’ll mine and manage a variety of sales and supply chain data, uncover performance trends, build reports, and contribute to strategy-driven insights—helping boost efficiency, forecast accuracy, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Management
  1. Gather and develop data pipelines for sales and supply chain data from CRM systems, ERP databases, spreadsheets, and external sources.
  2. Clean, validate, and maintain high data integrity in databases, reports and dashboards.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting
  1. Analyse sales and supply chain metrics—volume, revenue, product segments—to identify trends and opportunities.
  2. Produce regular dashboard updates and visualizations in Power BI, sales reports and executive summaries in Excel.
  • Forecasting & Trend Identification
  1. Highlight anomalies and recommend data-driven countermeasures.
  • Process Enhancement
  1. Automate routine data collection and reporting tasks.
  2. Identify and implement improvements to increase reporting efficiency and accuracy.

  • Strong Excel capabilities (pivot tables, formulas creation, data cleaning, macros, powerQuery).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data tasks and automation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) to streamline and optimize analytics workflows.

Analytical Expertise

  • Strong foundation in descriptive statistics and exploratory data analysis.
  • Ability to identify patterns, trends, and performance anomalies.

Business Domain Acumen

  • Understanding of sales funnels, pipeline stages, KPIs, and CRM operations.
  • Able to connect data insights to commercial impact.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities; able to craft concise, data-led stories.

Adopt and lead an evidence-based, data-driven approach towards end to end process and business analysis for the implementation of seller e-commerce insurance businesses across markets, including understanding and analysis of data sets from both Shopee and Monee domains.
Support in ad hoc crucial data-related business measures and initiatives essential to proper business functioning, and develop a long term strategy towards scaling such initiatives for a more automated and holistic solution.
Analyze financial impact to topline and bottomline from seller e-commerce insurance initiatives across multiple regional markets for ongoing business growth planning.
Drive regular business performance reporting for key management and financial reporting, and for data-driven actionable business decisions and initiatives to ongoing business optimization across both commercial and operational aspects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science/Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, or related fields.
Open to fresh graduates and candidates with up to 5 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in data and analytics related technical skills, including MySQL, Presto SQL, Python, and Spark.
Motivated by, and capable of, analyzing and driving solutions to complex problems around both e-commerce operations and insurance domains.
Deeply curious about ways to improve the topline and bottomline of Shopee business through insurance, by taking a data-driven approach in decision making, working closely with regional and local business teams.
Excited about, and have appreciation for, working with and managing multiple stakeholders in a project, including effective working methods with various regional and local teams across multiple Shopee markets.
