Responsibilities
Carry out CNC precision machining and general machining.
Read and write effective CAD/CAM programs.
Perform machine maintenance.
Conduct WIP dimensional measurements.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Apply approved manufacturing methods.
Perform CNC CMM dimensional inspections for 2D/3D measurements.
Program CAD/CAM and electrodes.
Implement automation tools to enhance productivity.
Troubleshoot machine issues.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Adhere to workplace safety and health policies.
Maintain machine air-pressure systems.
Operate and have knowledge of network servers and IoT for shop floor control.
Perform ad hoc duties as instructed by supervisor.
Work a 5.5-day workweek.
Requirements
Diploma or equivalent in precision engineering or Higher Nitec.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
Proficient in 2D/3D dimensional inspection and geometric measurements.
Resourceful and adaptable to changing work requirements.
Problem solver, organized team player with good communication skills.

Manufacturing Engineer

• Monday to Friday (8am - 5.15pm)
• Salary Range: $3,500 - $5,000

• 2 years contract renewable and convertible

Roles & Responsibilities

· Establish manufacturing procedures and proper documentation control.

· Build new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC program, and Tool/Gauge plan with Siemens NX.

· Initiate productivity improvement activities including equipment/fixture selection, design and deployment.

· Resolve technical issues relating to internal and external customers' feedback.

· Perform feasibility studies in the manufacturing capacity improvement, layout improvements and expansion.

· Initiate continuous improvement activities to existing manufacturing system and its related processes.

· Participate actively in company-wide productivity and quality programs.

· Put up justification for capital expenditure (CAPEX).

Qualifications & Work Experience

· Degree in engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, Material)

· At least 3 years' working experience

Preferred Skills (if any):

· Competent in Unigraphics and/or other CAD/CAM applications.

· Strong understanding and hands on with precision machining tool (CNC 5-Axis / lathe / milling etc.).

· Able to interpret drawing and GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning & tolerancing)

· Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

· Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
