Job duties and responsibilities:

· Understanding and interpreting technical drawing which includes geometrical dimension and tolerance, and related engineering information to determine type of processes required, establish a cost efficient method of production and plan the sequence of manufacturing operation needed to produce the part.

· Identify and select appropriate tool and machine to be used in preparation for the machining task.

· Develop CNC program for milling and turning using SolidCAM software.

· Monitor and improve production cycle time and cost.

· Design fixture, gauge or tooling accessory to support production process.

· Provide technical support to production department.

· Participate in cost reduction, quality improvement, safety awareness and other activities for continual improvement.

Requirements:

· Higher NITEC level in mechanical engineering or GCE "O" level with at least 3 years of working experience in precision engineering manufacturing environment.

· Competency in the application of SolidWorks and SolidCAM software.

· Proficient in understanding engineering drawings with sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

· Good knowledge in selection of cutting tools.

· Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol and Heidenhain programming language is an added advantage.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills.

· Able to work independently and multi-task with a strong sense of responsibility.

Purpose: Responsible for reviewing customer supplied data and drawings; and the creation of manufacturing data, programs, tools, jigs and fixtures required for the manufacture of complex machined parts in the most efficient and safe machining process.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Review customer (internal/external) supplied data and drawings to ensure that supplied information aligns with project requirements and standards.
• Create manufacturing data, programs, tools, jigs and fixtures required for the manufacture of complex machined parts in the most efficient and safe machining process.
• Handle workshop feedback and troubleshoot problems relating to CNC machining, programming and cutting tools in order to ensure parts are produced according to customers drawings specifications.
• Generate CNC programs according to the prescribe requirement of the Baan process routing sheet and 2D drawing provided by customer.
• Manage revision control on 3D model, drawing, program, tool list, and setup sheet documentation to ensure accurate records and allow all parties to follow the right revisions.
• Create detailed and clear shopfloor documentation such as machining setup sheet and tool list.
• Drive continual improvement on existing CNC program.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Precision Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge about GD&T and Solidworks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.

Job Duties

• Scrutinize customer data and drawings and highlight any possible issues in building the job to Product Engineer.
• Panelize customer data into array form and production panel form.
• Review job process flow and ensure CAM data are processed on all areas according to customer requirement.
• Add all in house and customer required targets and coupons for testing and shipment.
• Feedback any issues/discrepancies found on the traveler against the customer specifications/data/documents.
• Perform on screen inspection (OSI) of editing CAM data prior tooling issuance to production.
• Prepare rework films/programs per Engineering Change Requests
• Do layer stackup, cleanup and attribute tagging on special data features identified as critical in production
• Prepare customer data first article report for DFM.
• Coordinate with Production Control and production team to ensure timely toolings issuance to the production floor.
• Communicates any artwork related issues to Front-End Engineers and/or Process Engineers and suggest solutions to resolve the problems to ensure correct tools are provided to production.
• Creates the tools needed by Process Engineers for process evaluation, test, and capability study.
• Work closely with Production Engineers in implementing new targets/ tooling needed to the newly acquired machines.

Job Requirements

• Min Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
• Acquired Computer/IT skills
• Experience in PCB manufacturing company or related fields is a plus.
• Experience in use of Genesis is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure & fast pace working environment.
• Knowledge in programming language is an advantage.
