Job Description
Purpose: Responsible for reviewing customer supplied data and drawings; and the creation of manufacturing data, programs, tools, jigs and fixtures required for the manufacture of complex machined parts in the most efficient and safe machining process.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Review customer (internal/external) supplied data and drawings to ensure that supplied information aligns with project requirements and standards.
- Create manufacturing data, programs, tools, jigs and fixtures required for the manufacture of complex machined parts in the most efficient and safe machining process.
- Handle workshop feedback and troubleshoot problems relating to CNC machining, programming and cutting tools in order to ensure parts are produced according to customers drawings specifications.
- Generate CNC programs according to the prescribe requirement of the Baan process routing sheet and 2D drawing provided by customer.
- Manage revision control on 3D model, drawing, program, tool list, and setup sheet documentation to ensure accurate records and allow all parties to follow the right revisions.
- Create detailed and clear shopfloor documentation such as machining setup sheet and tool list.
- Drive continual improvement on existing CNC program.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Precision Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge about GD&T and Solidworks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Clear Communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.

· Competency in the application of SolidWorks and SolidCAM software.
· Proficient in understanding engineering drawings with sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
· Good knowledge in selection of cutting tools.
· Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol and Heidenhain programming language is an added advantage.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Able to work independently and multi-task with a strong sense of responsibility.

Job Requirements

- Experience in use of Genesis is a plus.
