We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC machinist to join our team.

The CNC machinist will be responsible for operating CNC machines, performing first article inspection on all parts according to mechanical drawing, understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result, preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines, and supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.

• Job Summary:

This CNC machinist position requires a skilled professional to operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines, such as lathes and milling machines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

• Responsibilities:

• Programs CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up CNC machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Achieves organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in CNC machining; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code.
• Familiarity with CNC machine controllers, such as Fanuc and Siemens.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
