As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To educate patients on their refractive status and advise on appropriate optical aids available.
  • Perform eye examinations using specialized equipment to check patients ocular health and diagnose symptoms of any general health conditions or any vision defects.
  • Communicate with patients to get detailed case histories.
  • Keep and maintain detailed patient records of their eye health.
  • Dispense and manage the inventory of contact lenses, trials and solutions.
  • Maintain all equipment and measuring devices to be in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Possess Degree or Diploma in Optometry or equivalent with a full registration with Optometrists & Opticians Board (OOB)

  • Insurance Credit Advice: Advising patient with best options related to managing insurance policies for medical treatment
  • Insurance and Billing Support: Assist patients with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing inquiries, coordinating with the billing department as needed.
  • Follow-Up Care: Monitor patient progress, schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence to support the healthcare team.
Qualifications for Administrative Assistant
