Job description:

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest room, carpet, flooring, wallpapers, furniture and bathrooms daily. Clean and make up rooms and bathrooms according to Hotel's standards and procedures
• Conduct duties in courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with hotel and governement's policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained
• Equip trolley with adequate supplies and keeps trolley/ pantry neat and tidy at all times
• Cover laundry duty. Collect and deliver guest laundry, counting soil linen and distribute clean linen
• Report suspicious persons or actions, DND rooms according to procedures. Report room discrepancy accurately and follow standard procedure
• Cleaning of public areas within hotel premises. Carry out special project and tasks such as shampooing of carpets and taking stock

Requirements

• Able to perform rotating shifts and 6 days work week
• Able to work under pressure and detail oriented
• Able to converse in Basic English for effective communication between guests and colleagues
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Room Attendant at Paradox Singapore. The role will be responsible for cleaning and servicing guestrooms in order to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard within the required timeframe.
• Greet guests and respond to queries. Seek superior's assistance for unresolved guest's request or complaint.
• Changing bed linen and making beds.
• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
• Sweeping, mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets.
• Dusting and polishing furniture.
• Empty trash containers and ashtrays.
• Change towels, make beds and clean bathrooms.
• Update status of guestrooms on assignment sheet.
• Return and restock cleaning cart at shift end.
• Always keep hallways clean and unobstructed.
• Report to Superior when stocks reach minimum and defects for ordering purposes.
• Utilize the internal system to receive and complete tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• To attend any meetings requested or training courses where necessary.
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.

Make and Change Bed Linens:

• Remove used bed linens and replace with fresh, clean sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers.

Replace Used Towels

• Collect and remove all used towels.
• Restock with fresh bath towels, hand towels, and face cloths.

Sweep and Mop Floors

• Sweep all hard floors thoroughly.
• Mop using appropriate cleaning solution to ensure floors are clean and disinfected.

Vacuum and Dust All Units

• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust all surfaces, including furniture, light fixtures, vents, and corners.

Replenish Bath Care Products (Toiletries)

• Restock items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, lotion, and toilet paper.

Restock Mini Bar (Beverages and Food Items)

• Check inventory and expiry dates.
• Refill drinks, snacks, and any other minibar items as per the standard list.

Clean Public Areas

• Sweep and mop corridors, pathways, and communal spaces.
• Remove trash, wipe down surfaces, and ensure all areas around Bus Units are clean and presentable.

Job Requirements:

• No minimum qualifications required
• Basic English communication skills (able to understand and speak simple English)
• Previous experience in cleaning or hospitality industries is an advantage, but not mandatory
• Willing and able to work 3 rotating shifts, including overnight shifts
• Must be able to work on weekends (off days will fall on weekdays)

Room Attendant (Full-time)

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeper, the Room Attendant will be responsible for cleaning the guest rooms of high standards for the comfort and convenience of our guests in order to help create a seamless and memorable stay experience for them.

What you will be DOING:

Attend pre-shift meeting, collect the daily room cleaning report /assignments and the sign out the master key.

• Ensure all assigned rooms are cleaned accordingly and return master key to housekeeping office at the end of shift.
• Pack trolley and ensure that it is neatly stacked with linen and there are sufficient supplies before starting to make up rooms.
• Able to prioritise daily job tasks, e.g. which room to clean first.
• Ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned as per established standards and room supplies are completely replenished.
• Ensure all items in the housekeeping checklist are in good order.
• Know the usage of different chemicals & cleaning supplies.
• Able to operate a vacuum cleaner.
• Remove all dirty room service trays & trolleys, cutleries, and crockeries from corridor and guest rooms to the service area .
• Make sure the rubbish bags are cleared and disposed of at the garbage area after every shift.
• Check and report any missing, damaged items and/or maintenance defects to the Assistant Housekeeper immediately.
• Handle guest laundry request where applicable and be responsible for pick-up and return of the items.
• Attend to guests request immediately when needed and inform the Supervisor if request cannot be handled.
• Pack and keep the pantry and service area neat and tidy at all times.
• Observe all brand/operating standards and/or LQA
• Follow all workplace safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries and incidents to security / talent & culture team immediately.
• Participate & contribute actively in all Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives organised by the Hotel.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

The Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and orderly presentation of rooms to create a positive impression for guests. He/She performs cleaning, replenishes amenities and supplies as well as checks and reports items in need of maintenance or replacement.
