As a Senior / Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Report to and assist senior personnel in designing civil infrastructure works, primarily for underground rail, road, and viaduct projects, ensuring designs comply with local regulations, safety standards, and engineering codes.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for feasibility and constructability, and develop optimized construction methodologies and technical proposals to improve bid competitiveness.
- Prepare method statements, technical submissions, and shop drawings aligned with safety, regulatory, and technical standards, including materials and construction methods.
- Lead the design of roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with local codes, professional board standards, and best engineering practices.
- Review and approve design deliverables for accuracy and constructability, and collaborate with internal teams such as quantity surveyors, planners, BIM specialists, and procurement to align technical strategies.
- Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, consultants, and commissioning engineers for value engineering, alternative design solutions, and coordination during installation or construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to identify constraints and risks, propose mitigation strategies, and use planning and design software (e.g., Civil 3D, Primavera, MS Project) to support construction planning, documentation, cost estimates, and overall project execution.
Requirements:
