Job Summary:

This role involves various tasks, including preparing monthly accounts payable and statement of account reconciliations, acting as the first approver/reviewer of invoices submitted via the e-procurement system, and monitoring balance sheet items.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare monthly accounts payable payment and statement of account reconciliation.
  2. Act as the first approver/reviewer of all invoices submitted via the e-procurement system (TenderBoard).
  3. Act as second reviewer of TenderBoard reports and ensure all accounting codes are correct.
  4. Monitor balance sheet items and follow-up with the respective PIC on outstanding items.
  5. Responsible for the timely, accurate, and complete preparation of daily carrier remittances for both the 1st and 2nd batches.
  6. Post related accounts payable transactions/journal entries.
  7. Support the portfolio of other team members through a buddy system.
  8. Provide support for internal & external audits.
  9. Perform ad-hoc assignments as requested by the Manager/HOD.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accountancy/Business Finance.
  • Hands-on experience in accounting on related work area preferred.
  • Experience in both shared service and freight forwarding & logistics added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and SAP accounting system.

Malaysia
Prepare comprehensive monthly management reports and financial forecasts, including detailed presentation slides for senior management review
Perform in-depth analytical reviews of the financial performance of across various business units; investigate variances against norms, budgets and forecasts
Lead the coordination and preparation of annual budgets, and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives and operational plans
Participate in and support the rollout of Oracle Hyperion, including user training and process documentation to enhance financial planning and reporting capabilities
India
Plan, organize and coordinate all accounting activities related to company expansion plans and projects, working closely with Japan HQ to ensure compliance and alignment with global standards
Oversee and manage relationships with third-party external service providers, including for statutory accountants and tax consultants, to ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting and compliance
Serve as the primary liaison with the task force at Japan HQ, facilitating clear communication and resolution of accounting and reporting issues
Act as a key user and subject matter expert during the SAP ERP implementation project, assisting with system testing, and post-implementation support to optimize accounting processes
Singapore
Establish sub-group consolidation processes
Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors and Japan HQ to address audit queries and ensure seamless preparation and finalization of regarding consolidated accounts

Requirements
Degree in Accounting, ACCA or other relevant professional accounting qualification

Requirements
University degree related to finance, accounting, economics, statistical maths or equivalent.
At least 5 years of relevant experience
