Job Description
Job Title: Draftsman
As a draftsman, you will be responsible for preparing topographical maps used in all civil engineering projects.
You will survey data processing and traverse calculation, prepare survey setting out plans, longitudinal sections, cross sections, and TBM level calculations with sketches.
You will also prepare AutoCAD drafting of architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical as well as survey plans and as-build drawings.
Your duties will include drafting civil and infrastructure projects efficiently using AutoCAD software to meet local and international design standards.
You will be responsible for engineering plan detailing, sectional details, typical detailing, detailed shop drawings for all kinds of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that detailing meets local criteria and regulations
- Check designs and details before submitting to clients or authorities
- Maintain internal procedures and produce reports as required
- Contribute to improving designs and detailing
- Manage and facilitate laser scanning of existing spaces
- Incorporate data into coordination processes
- Create utility models based on points of connection for existing and new utilities within site boundaries
- Work with engineers and surveyors to collaborate on job sites
- Report unsafe acts and incidents under the WSH Act
- Perform other duties assigned by your superior/management
Experience in CAD drafting and visualization skills are preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is necessary.

The role of a Land Surveyor is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites during the full phases of a construction project.
This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting surveys designed to establish baselines and other geodetic measurements, computing geodetic measurements and interpreting survey data to determine positions, shapes and elevations of features, and coordinating findings with engineering and architectural personnel, clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports of surveys to describe and assume liability of work performed.
- Locate and mark sites selected for prospecting activities.
- Plan and conduct surveys designed to establish baselines and other geodetic measurements.
- Coordinate findings with engineering and architectural personnel, clients and stakeholders.
- Education: Diploma in Land Surveying or Geo-spatial information and technology
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
