Job Description
Our client is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Suite team, providing quality patient care and assisting with interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring compliance with radiology safety protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation) within the Closed Monitoring Unit (CMU). This includes completing all necessary pre-procedure checks upon patient admission.
- Prepare patients for procedures by administering pre-medications, performing site preparations, and closely monitoring post-procedure conditions. Report any abnormalities to the cardiologist or attending physician promptly.
- Assist in interventional cardiovascular procedures by setting up and managing the appropriate instrument trolleys in the Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab).
- Support scrub and anaesthesia (AU) duties in the Cath Lab as needed.
- Ensure safe administration of contrast media, considering patient history and contraindications.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations, such as Code Blue events.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Clinician.
- Holds a Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Possesses a Post Basic Specialty Certificate or Advanced Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board with a valid Practising Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiology, radiology, or interventional procedure settings
- 5-day work week (Monday to Friday). No overnight shifts, though extended hours, on-call, and callback duties may be required
