We are looking for proactive and reliable Clinical Support Staff to assist in the day-to-day clinic operations. The staff will primarily support exercise science-related assessments and interventions, ensuring smooth participant flow, accurate execution of procedures, and coordination with internal collaborators.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in clinical research, sports science, physiotherapy, or related healthcare fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with clinic workflow and participant flow management throughout study visits.
- Escort and coordinate participants between assessment stations and research collaborators.
- Support exercise science assessments such as VO₂max testing, handgrip strength measurement, and other physical performance tests under supervision.
- Assist with workout intervention sessions, providing guidance, encouragement, and ensuring protocol compliance.
- Set up, clean, and reset equipment and rooms between participant sessions.
- Ensure participant safety and comfort throughout all physical procedures.
- Accurately record and report observations or concerns to the research team.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Background or coursework in exercise science, physiotherapy, sports medicine, kinesiology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fast learner with the ability to follow protocols precisely.
- Proactive, punctual, and able to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Comfortable interacting with older adult participants and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
