Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design carbide press tools for high-precision metal stamped parts, deep draw parts, and forming components.
- Review part drawings and independently prepare layouts according to product requirements.
- Complete tool designs and ensure alignment with production specifications.
- Facilitate smooth transitions from product design and development to manufacturing.
- Identify and resolve technical design issues promptly; recommend improvements for new and existing tools.
- Follow up with toolmakers during assembly and testing of tooling.
- Guide draughtswomen in modifying simple tooling designs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Tool & Die design.
- Practical knowledge of tool design and manufacturing technologies, including high-speed progressive tooling, forming, multi-slide design, machining, assembly, troubleshooting, and dimension inspection.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA V6, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
