About The Role
As a CBRE Technician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You Will Do
Co-ordinate and assist the Property Executive/ Manager in daily operation of the M&E Services.
Carry out periodic inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and upkeeping of all equipment.
Perform weekly checks on the building's fire-protection system - main panel and sub-panels, including troubleshooting on failure of fire-protection system.
Attend to owner or occupier's building automation system, fire protection system and carpark system .
Attend to enquiries, complaints of breakdown, service requests relating to the building services.
Maintain inventory and requisite purchase of electrical/ mechanical parts/ accessories according to the SOP.
Supervise contractors to ensure work are carried out in accordance with work specifications in service contract and are in acceptable standard.
Follow up on progress of rectification works and report to the Property Management team timely.
Respond and attend to all emergency calls, after office hours and for reinforcement of manpower during major breakdown of equipment.
Perform troubleshooting on any failure to the building's electrical/ mechanical system.
Other duties in the building that may be assigned from time to time.
What You Will Need
N/ O Levels with at 3 least years’ experience as building technician.
Nitec in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services / Facility Management or other relevant field.
Familiar with maintenance of building system, equipment and facilities.
Ability to work as a team player as well as work independently.
Open to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Supervisor is responsible for protecting UPS assets—including buildings, equipment, and grounds—while ensuring full compliance with environmental and safety. This role oversees facility maintenance, conveyor system reliability, and housekeeping operations across Singapore & Southeast Asia region. The position also involves managing minor construction & conveyors projects.
The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to supporting operations as well as team management skills. This role will require approx. 10% travel in APAC and occasional attendance during nights/weekends for critical equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities
Conveyor Reliability
- Manage mechanic/ conveyor vendors dispatch for scheduled maintenance as well as emergency repairs
- Provide support for conveyor or equipment related breakdowns and issues that arise during operations, including emergency response to reported conveyor breakdowns to minimize impact to Operations
- Conduct regular conveyor guard audits to ensure conveyors are compliant to UPS conveyor guarding standards
- Oversee maintenance methods by mechanic/ conveyor vendors, including conducting of trainings and regular audits
- Maintain an accurate record of the spare parts inventory in all Southeast Asia hubs
- Generate reports outlining overall system effectiveness and reliability
Facility Maintenance & Compliance
- Oversee maintenance and housekeeping across Singapore & other countries in the Southeast Asia Region
- Ensure adherence to UPS Hazardous Materials Procedures and international/national regulations for storage of hazardous materials within UPS facilities
- Conduct audits, facilitate Corrective Action Plans, and deliver employee training on compliance requirements
- Ensure regularly scheduled maintenance is completed timely and effectively, and all deficiencies are corrected. Oversee invoicing and manage costs for planned and emergency maintenance
- Able to standby and provide onsite attendance to critical equipment failure for e.g. conveyor break downs, chiller trips etc
- Monitor environmental and safety compliance for Southeast Asia facilities
- Review facility regulations, perform audits, and analyse trends to address compliance issues
- Manage and provide guidance to a team of 4 – 2 building technicians & 1 mechanic & 1 admin
Technical Support
- Understand UPS building standards and conveyor specifications in order to provide support & guidance to cross functional teams
Construction Project Management
- Manage low to moderately complex construction projects, such as conveyor installations and facility modifications
- Ensure projects adhere to contract documentation, timelines, and cost control measures
Healthcare warehouse management
- Manage all aspects of facility, housekeeping, equipment maintenance in the healthcare warehouse in adherence to GDPMDS, Health Sciences Authority (HSA) & UPS Healthcare requirements
