Job Responsibilities:

• Perform duties at the same level as Medical Officers, including calls and responsibilities. Clinical duties will be assessed individually by the Head of Department.
• Assist, guide, and supervise House Officers in their duties, reviewing new cases and checking findings and notes.
• Write medical reports within specified deadlines.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of Hospital Inpatient Discharge Summary Forms and diagnosis & disease index on case records.
• Assist Senior Medical Staff in Specialist Outpatient Clinics and obtain prior approval for major changes or discharges.
• Update relatives on patients' conditions.
• Explain procedures to patients and relatives, obtaining consent where designated.
• Sign Death Certificates and obtain autopsy consent for deceased patients.
• Inform Senior Medical Staff of major problems and discharges against medical advice.
• Participate in department teaching activities as directed by the HOD.
• Perform other medical duties as directed by Senior Medical Staff, covering junior doctor duties when needed.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a MBBS degree or postgraduate qualification recognized by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Have at least 3 years of Medical Officer experience.
• Be able to perform independently in the department.
• Possess high adaptability and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
