Join our team and take on a challenging role as a Settlement Officer where you will be responsible for supporting the Wealth Management Operations team in asset setup and maintenance within the Avaloq system.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with financial products, data management, and process accuracy. As a Settlement Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports Singapore and Hong Kong business units in various asset types (Equity/Bond/Option) in the main system (Avaloq).
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:- Basic understanding of financial instruments (Equities, Bonds, Options, Structured Products)
- Experience in operations or middle office within banking or financial services
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to follow processes and adhere to compliance standards
- Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Hands-on experience with Avaloq core banking system
- Familiarity with Singapore and Hong Kong financial market practices
- Exposure to structured products documentation (e.g., Termsheets)
- Experience with master data setup (Business Partners, SSIs, Money Accounts)
- Involvement in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of operational risk and SLA management
- Support Singapore and Hong Kong business units on setting up and maintenance of various asset types (Example: Equity/Bond/Option) in the main system (Avaloq)
- Enrich Structured Product lean assets against details in Termsheets and liaise with Product team on any clarifications
- Set up and maintain Business Partners, Containers, Standard Settlements Instructions and Money Accounts to facilitate operations
- Re-formatting and uploading of Termsheets for client documentation
- Support new initiatives and perform UAT when required
- Ensures full compliance to all policies and regulations. This includes adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreement) with Wealth Business and other internal and external customers
- On-time escalation of issues and risks to the Team leader or to the Department Head
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time
