About the role

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking a Research Scientist – Preclinical pharmacology to support the Pharmacology team. This will be a permanent role for the right candidate with ample opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to innovative drug development projects. Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the execution of in vitro and in vivo preclinical studies by interfacing with internal scientific teams and external CROs; ensure alignment on study design, timelines, logistics, and data collection to support key development milestones
• Support study start-up and execution by reviewing and organizing study plans, protocols, contracts and communication workflows
• Manage procurement, shipment, and inventory processes for reagents, samples, and study-related materials
• Perform literature review, data analysis and support preparation of reports, presentations, and dashboards to aid project tracking and decision-making

Essential qualifications

• PhD in a scientific discipline such as biology, biomedical sciences or a related field

About the role

We are looking for a AI/ML expert with a combination of Engineering/Applied Research experience to help us develop our foundational logical reasoning AI system. You will have worked in AI/ML to have experienced, researched/applied different neural network architectures to various problems (e.g. natural language, vision, graphs, symbolic, formal domains), using several model training and optimization techniques (e.g. value models, reinforcement learning, search strategies), and across modalities (text, audio, video).
