A leading MNC Bank is looking for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join its Operations Regulatory Control (ORC) team. This centralized team is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and continuous enhancement of swap dealer regulatory reporting across APAC, with a focus on governance, exception management, and industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the accurate, complete, and timely submission of regulatory reports as per APAC jurisdictional requirements.
  • Monitor daily reporting control exceptions and performance metrics; partner with Middle Office, Business, Technology, Legal, and Compliance to remediate gaps.
  • Maintain strong governance of reporting obligations through transparency and issue escalation across internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively investigate exceptions, perform ad-hoc data quality reviews, and conduct deep-dive analysis on large datasets to identify root causes and remediation steps.
  • Respond to inquiries from regulators, industry bodies, internal auditors, and business units.
  • Support and manage regulatory projects, including new reporting requirements, enhancements, and control/process improvements.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation such as BRDs, test plans, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
  • Deliver clear, tailored updates and communications to senior stakeholders.
  • Represent the bank in APAC industry working groups and forums involving regulators, vendors, and trade associations.
  • Ensure team procedures and controls comply with global regulatory and risk management frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OTC derivatives across major asset classes and their trade lifecycle.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid expertise in G20 financial regulatory reform and transaction-level trade reporting requirements.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in regulatory reporting, derivatives operations, business analysis, or project management within financial services.
  • Communication: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to work across global, cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders of varying seniority and cultural backgrounds.
  • Organization: Strong time management and multitasking skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Analytical: Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal: Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across reporting lines.
  • Technical: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; knowledge of SQL or VBA is an advantage.

Desirable

  • Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting requirements for APAC regulators such as ASIC, MAS, or HKMA.
  • Prior experience representing a financial institution in discussions with regulators, industry bodies, vendors, or third-party service providers.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale data quality, control, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to or certification in project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, SDLC, Agile).

Responsibilities:

  • This role will assist to manage daily and monthly functions of performance and custom reporting. Ensure that the end-to-end process such as downloading and maintenance of financial data is handled properly.
  • The role will also ensure the integrity of data in the performance systems so that performance reports can be generated to our clients.
  • To undertake monthly reviews of performance data and provide support to bankers / counsellors enquiries.
  • To be able to take up the coordination on the end-to-end operations such as attending daily conference call on performance availability status update.
  • This is a demanding job requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Manages complex and highly varying issues with significant potential impact on multiple operations' areas. Individuals at this level may manage a department, product or process with a large amount of independence.
  • Lead projects, resolves escalated operations' issues and/ or offer solutions at an advanced level.
  • Liaises with multiple Operations teams/departments.
  • Serves as analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a unit or team on cross functional processes or project deliverables.
  • Stays abreast of the organization's operational procedures and best practices in business strategy and process/quality improvements; using such knowledge to recommend customized business solutions to internal clients.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in business, planning and analysis for operations area supported.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years' of relevant work experience
  • Basic knowledge of banking products and investment instruments
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, MS Access and SQL would be advantageous
  • Ability to understand the end-to-end process of banking systems in relation to investment performance reporting
  • Resourceful, proactive and possess strong communication skills.
  • Team player who is committed to work under minimal supervision.
  • Prior team management experience, managing operational functions.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); ability to communicate with external parties

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

  • Support preparation, reconciliation, and upload of manual adjustments
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including Finance & Risk Shared Services (FRSS), Data Management Office (DMO), etc., in the identification and remediation of the root causes to help eliminate the need for manual adjustments

Responsibilities:

  • Support the lead Sales Representative in the creation, validation, and maintenance of Management Information (MI) reports to meet both standard and ad-hoc reporting requirements across Business Management, Sales Management, Salesforce Management, and Finance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of sales data, customer information, and other relevant records in the system.
  • Uphold data integrity and accuracy by adhering to established processes and controls.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales-related processes and reporting requirements, including responding to analytics queries and maintaining timely communication with clients.
  • Timely distribution of assigned reports and analytics in accordance with specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for the application of advanced analytics and automation to improve efficiency in report production processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth sales operations and deliver consistent customer service excellence.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, including managing correspondence, updating Salesforce (SFDC) records, and preparing sales presentations and proposals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company products and services to effectively support the sales team and address customer enquiries.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business or related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales analytics or sales support role with prior experience dealing with data.
  • Prior experience in sales reporting and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in data analysis and modelling using Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with BI and data visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI will be an added advantage.
