Job Summary - 3 to 6 month contract


We are seeking an experienced Power BI Dashboard Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. In this role, the candidate will design, build and maintain both front-end and back-end Power BI solutions to support business analytics for the APAC business. The person will work alongside the business analyst and the data architect team to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.


Scope of Work

Power BI Dashboard Development & Optimization

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for different business use cases.
  • Optimize data models and dashboard performance, ensuring scalability, responsiveness, and ease of use for executive and regional stakeholders.
  • Create and refine advanced DAX measures and necessary Power Query (M) transformations to support complex business logic, KPIs, and data cleansing.

Collaboration & Data Architecture

  • Collaborate with the Data Architect Manager/team and cross-functional teams to implement and adhere to best practices in data architecture, data modelling (fact/dimension schema), and data governance.
  • Support the creation, maintenance, and optimization of Power BI data models and views, ensuring alignment with organizational data standards.
  • Assist in setting up tables within the gold layer or data warehouse (Snowflake), as well as standard/materialized views to enable efficient data manipulation and transformations.

Data Quality & Validation

  • Perform regular data quality checks, implement validation rules, and troubleshoot data inconsistencies across the reporting pipeline.
  • Monitor and optimize dashboard performance.

Documentation & Version Control

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation covering data flows, transformation logic, configuration settings, and dashboard/report user guides.

Support, Training & Agile Project Delivery

  • Provide technical support, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and business users across APAC

Required Qualifications

•Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience developing end-to-end Power BI solutions (front-end visualizations and back-end data modelling).

•Power BI Expertise: Deep understanding of Power BI Desktop and Service; proficiency in creating interactive reports, embedded reports, and deploying to workspaces.

oExperience with relational databases and data warehouse concepts (schema, fact/dimension modelling).

•DAX & Power Query: Advanced skills in DAX for complex calculations and proficiency in Power Query (M) for data transformation and cleansing.

•SQL Experience: Ability to understand and write SQL queries to support the setup of tables within the presentation layer of Snowflake and the creation of materialized/standard views.

•Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to translate raw data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.

•Attention to Detail: Meticulous in data validation, model optimization, and dashboard design.

Job Description

We are seeking multiple full-time Research Assistant(s) who will assist with quantitative data analysis in ongoing projects on the economics and demography of aging, pensions and retirement, as well as health of the elderly. The projects are part of a large 5-year research program (2024-2028) which has collaborators in Singapore and the United States. The Principal Investigator of this project is located at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

The successful candidate(s) must demonstrate competence in quantitative research methods using STATA or R, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Research interest and experience in one or more of the above-listed areas on economics and demography of aging, OR pensions and retirement, OR health of older adults is plus.

This position caters to individuals who are looking to further their skillsets and analytical training to develop a career or pursue further studies in the fields of applied economics or public policy research. As such, we require a minimum of one year of past research work experience as full-time Research Assistant. Please state this work experience clearly in your cover letter. This position is not suitable for fresh graduates or those with part-time/ad-hoc research experience only.

Responsibilities of the full-time Research Assistant(s) include:

• Administrative support for research projects under a 5-year research programme
• Conduct literature reviews

• Draft/contribute to research reports, policy briefs, and articles
• Prepare presentation materials for stakeholder meetings
