What You'll Do
The Career Services Manager will spearhead the career transition support for RISE participants, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate the job market and secure roles aligned with their newly acquired skills. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for talent development and a deep understanding of the digital employment landscape.
Key responsibilities:
Set the strategic direction of the Career Services Program to ensure strong career outcomes for graduating learners
Design and implement new programs to RISE learners, while enhancing existing programs, including resume and interview preparation workshops, to assist learners in their job search
Source and hold career coaches and agencies to high standards in helping learners attain their career goals.
Closely track and program learners’ career outcomes through data collection and analysis, and report effectively to client, management, and stakeholders
Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate partners to facilitate job placement opportunities for RISE graduates.
Organize events to connect RISE learners with RISE alumni, employers, and recruiters
Anticipate and manage learner and stakeholder escalations with empathy, urgency, and a focus on optimal resolution.
Manage Careers Services team and its operations.
What You'll Bring
8+ years of experience in career services, talent acquisition, or workforce development, preferably within the digital or technology sectors
Proven track record of successful employer engagement and job placement outcomes.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Data-driven, with a track record in achieving business goals through analysis.
Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills, with the ability to motivate diverse groups of professionals.
People management experience.
Comfortable with digital/SaaS tools, such as MS Office, CRMs (e.g. Hubspot), project management (e.g. Asana, Trello, etc)
Dedicated team player and take strong ownership in work
