Cash Management refers to the banking services provided to corporate clients to help them manage their cash flow efficiently ­ including payments, collections, account services, and liquidity management. The Cash Management Operations Centre is the back-office team that ensures: Corporate accounts are opened and maintained correctly; Payment instructions are processed securely and promptly; Client data and mandate details (e.g. authorized signatories) are kept up to date; Compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

About the Banking Operations Team

The newly established Banking Operations team is instrumental in ensuring Wise delivers outstanding service and protects customer money through excellence in banking operations. We act as a crucial bridge between Payment Operations, Banking, Product, and our global banking partners. The Role: Banking Operations Manager

  • Cultivate Strategic Partner Relationships: Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with our global banking partners. You'll act as a primary liaison, managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), driving partner accountability, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high service quality for seamless money movement.
  • Champion Operational Excellence & Incident Resolution: Lead efforts to identify opportunities for significant operational change and continuously optimize banking processes across the payment ecosystem. This includes proactively troubleshooting complex system issues and acting as a core member of the bank partner incident management team to minimize disruptions and reduce operational load.
  • Work on New Integrations & Strategic Expansion: Drive the operational readiness and execution for new banking partner integrations, payment routes, and currency launches. You'll ensure smooth, low-risk rollouts, collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, and support strategic alignment as Wise continues its rapid global expansion.
  • Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Establish, define, and track key operational KPIs and metrics related to banking partner performance. You'll design reporting frameworks and generate strategic insights that inform critical company decisions and guide our overall banking strategy.
  • Empower & Connect Internal Teams: Develop best practices, implement training programs, and share crucial knowledge with Regional Payment Operations teams. You'll help them enhance problem-solving, boost operational efficiency, and foster stronger cross-functional collaboration.

As part of the Technology Project Office team, the Project Manager is responsible for providing project management oversight for projects within corporate and/or consumer domain that requires the coordination of development work or technology work, as well as associated integration components / services to achieve desired functionality. The PM would provide leadership to guide and coach team members, liaise with business partners and external vendors.

The role requires end-to-end oversight and hands-on project management skills through initiation, planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation as well as rollout/stabilization and entails regular contacts with both Technology and Business stakeholders. The project manager is to provide timely updates to all governance bodies and senior stakeholders on the progress of the projects, impacts to projects, major milestones and risks to projects on a regular as well as need-to basis. The position requires direct involvement in solution architecture discussions to enable the progressive build of a Service Oriented Architecture around the technology platform.

The project manager is also expected to be liaise with external vendors, monitor and coordinate efforts between multiple vendors in the seamless delivery of the project.

He/she should work in partnership with Business stakeholders and Operations and Technology to deliver projects with agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and proposals and obtain required approvals from appropriate IT management and project sponsors
  • Establish project plans, resources, budgets and time-frames, and assign tasks
  • Identify, track and communicate project progress, milestones, deliverables changes and dependencies within the schedule, costs, issues and risks
  • Manage project team’s performance of project tasks, provide technical advice and guidance, schedule assignments and training for development, prepare performance appraisals
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple development, product management, user experience and QA teams in a matrix organization
  • Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables or revisions to the project from the project sponsor and stakeholders
  • Manage vendor relationship and deliverables
  • Evaluate and recommend purchases of software packages, hardware and service vendors where appropriate
  • Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
  • Plan for and oversee preparation of documentation of each project phase (business requirements, functional specification, project plan, test strategy, test plan, etc), training and support in new/modified applications

Domain Knowledge

  • Knowledge in consumer/corporate (Trade Finance, ATM, Cards, regulatory/compliance) in the banking domain is highly preferred
  • Banking experience is a must.
  • Understanding of technical aspects of system integration in a mix technology environment
  • Good understanding of project financials, risk and issues management in ensuring project delivery

  • Tertiary education required
  • 5-8 years in project management in IT in banking industry delivering projects exceeding S$ 1 mil

*Seeking for an Accounts talent with minimum 4 years of experience handling Regulatory reporting (MAS 610) or Financial, Statutory or Corporate tax and GST computations in a Corporate Bank*

THE COMPANY

This bank has a strong brand name and are expanding their operations. Currently, they seek for a Senior Accounts Officer/Assistant Manager to be part of their Finance team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle Financial, Statutory and Management Accounting
  • Perform Regulatory/MAS reporting
  • Handle Budgeting
  • Perform Expenses processing and Nostro reconciliation
  • Perform tax calculations (Corporate tax and GST computation)
  • Involve in IT projects
  • Collaborate effectively with other internal and external stakeholders

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accountancy/Commerce or ACCA or any other relevant education
  • Minimum 4 years of experience handling Regulatory reporting (MAS 610) or Financial, Statutory or Corporate tax and GST computations in a Corporate Bank
  • Diligent, solutions-oriented, team player, strong interpersonal and communication skills
