GE Vernova's Financial Services (FS) is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join its Execution & Underwriting team in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This role will be based in Gurgaon, India or Singapore, and will primarily focus on the Indian market with potential involvement in transactions across the broader APAC region.

The Assistant Vice President will play a key role in supporting deal sourcing, execution, underwriting, and investment monitoring activities related to energy assets and platforms. These may include wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), gas power and emerging clean technologies such as green hydrogen and carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS).

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to GE Vernova's mission of accelerating the energy transition. The selected candidate will support strategic equipment pull-through for GE V's technology portfolio—spanning Wind, Gas, Hybrids, Hydro, Pumped Storage, Solar, BESS, CCUS, and Green Hydrogen—while creating long-term value for both the company and its customers.

This role will be part of FS' commercial team in order to achieve GE Vernova Financial Services' goals in India and, as required, in the rest of the APAC region.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Execute due diligence and underwriting of complex energy development or project investments, including oversight of development partners and review of legal documentation and consultant reports such as environmental studies, market studies and independent engineer reports.
  • Present and defend analyses and approval requests to senior leadership with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate project risks.
  • Lead detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis using methods such as discounted cash flow (DCF), internal rate of return (IRR), and comparable company analysis; perform sensitivity analyses to assess the financial impact of varying project assumptions and risks.
  • Assist in the negotiation and structuring of term sheets and transaction documents.
  • Conduct research on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy and clean tech space.
  • Help identify new investment opportunities and support relationship-building efforts with developers, sponsors, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor energy project pipelines, auction outcomes, and merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in target markets.
  • Protect and realize the value of portfolio investments through engaging project counterparties, monitoring key performance indicators, evaluating project modifications/restructurings, and executing asset sales.
  • Train and mentor junior investment professionals in a matrixed organization
  • Support GE Vernova strategic initiatives, special projects, and new business development opportunities.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred is essential.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in energy project development, project finance, investment banking, private equity, or renewable energy infrastructure is essential.
  • Familiarity with project finance structures, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), debt financing, and risk allocation mechanisms, is highly desirable is essential.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present complex materials clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and infrastructure investing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Travel may be required, as needed, to support business and customers within the region.

Step into the role of Lending Operations, Assistant Vice President at Barclays in Singapore, where you will be responsible for overseeing service delivery and operational processes supporting private banking lending activities on the Singapore platform. Acting as a key liaison between the Singapore business and the Lending Operations teams, you will ensure seamless execution of credit services while maintaining strong governance, control, and compliance with MAS regulations. This role sits within Barclays Execution Services, providing critical operational support to the Private Bank.
You will manage and monitor a wide suite of credit products for both personal and corporate clients, supporting multi-billion-dollar facilities and collateral arrangements. With a focus on delivering swift, secure, and reliable credit solutions, you will play a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement across lending operations.

Identification of trends and opportunities to improve areas and develop new process and procedures through the monitoring and analysis of operation data and performance metrices.
Management of operations for a business area and promote efficient processes, risk management and compliance initiatives to support the bank's operations.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders (including business leaders, project manager and SMEs) and external stakeholders (including vendors and service providers) to support business operations and promote alignment with the bank's objectives and SLAs.
Management of operational professionals and provide guidance, coaching and support to improve colleagues' delivery quality.
Management and development of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilising data and technology to support the identification of areas that require improvement.
Compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to customer experience.
Creation of a safe environment for colleagues to speak up, actively and regularly encourage and solicit feedback to ensure people agenda remains focused on the right areas.
Management of attrition by working closely with HR in implementing retention initiatives for work force.

To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes
