Overview
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide engineering support in term of engineering activities such as Line Setup, Process Standardization, Productivity Improvement, Machine/Equipment & Tool Set Up, & etc.
Prototype handling for ABC production.
NATURE & SCOPE
1) Line/Processs Setup and Standization
Preparation of new line setup and layout.
Preparation of facilities, machinery, equipment and tools for new setup.
Preparation of QC flowchart, Worksheet/Checksheet for Production Quality Assurance Control
Establish and maintain FMEA study on the production line
Preparation of Prototype/pre-producton.
Ensure First Article & Shipping Judgement is carried out for product realization before shipment.
2) Establish Work standard, QC Flow Chart, Worksheet & Checksheet.
Preparation of necessary Work standard required for the Avionics Business in relation to AS9100 system requirements.
Maintenance of documentation system.
3) Productivity Improvement
Carry out process time study and line/process balancing.
Provide technical supports on improvements to reduce process time
Design and fabricate simpl jig & fixture.
4) Production Support
Provide engineering technical support in terms of
- Process changes, Software revision, provide machine/equipment & tools, Carry out First Article Inspection .
5) Cost Down Activities
Plan and propose for localization activities
Plan and propose for process improvement
6) Prototype Handling for ABC Production
Liaising with OKI on Prototype setup and master schedule
KOM within YAS related members
Ensure all parts are ready for the prototype making
Prepare and submit costing for prototype project
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1) Ensure smooth engineering operation
2) Reduce production downtime with engineering supports
3) Provide quality product delivery to customer
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
a) Qualification:
i) Degree in EEE is preferred

Position Summary
The Engineer is considered to be part of the operations group and is responsible for perform or supervise work on aircraft or aircraft components and to promote an open communication with all other related departments personnel.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in complying with Bombardier Policies & Procedures and Aviation Authorities Rules and Regulations.
- Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft.
- Access and re-install aircraft components, which obstruct the performance of the assigned tasks.
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installation.
- Document work performed per quality procedure manual.
- Perform other tasks cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and loads and secures ballast and/or freight as required.
- Assist with fueling/ defueling aircraft as required.
- Assist Aircraft Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing of aircraft.
- Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
- Work on aircraft as well as in component shops.
- Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locations.
- Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have minimum Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with at least 5 years signing experience, CAAS licensed preferred and experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance.
- You have had experience working on Bombardier aircrafts.
- You must Hold College/ Diploma and / or equivalent academic qualification.
- You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- You have planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments.
