This is a challenging role for an experienced technician to work on engine disassembly, inspection and reassembly. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working in the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conducting engine disassembly from modular level to piece part level and inspecting and cleaning engine piece parts and hardwares.
- Reassembling engines for testing.
- Performing assembly or disassembly work at section level to meet production schedule.
- Upkeeping and maintaining assigned equipment, tooling and fixtures.
- Supporting and participating in EHS and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Accountabilities
The accountabilities of this role include:
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with engine manuals, approved technical data and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring strict compliance to all EHS regulations.
- Working effectively as a team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support overtime production work on ad-hoc basis as and when necessary.
Required Experience and Qualifications
The required experience and qualifications for this role include:
- NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical & Aerospace Technology.
- At least 2 years' work experience in disassembly/assembly/inspection in aviation industry.
- Prior aviation experience in engine MRO facility will be an added advantage.
- Technical skills in lock-wiring, torque application and manual interpretation required.
- Training provided for candidate without prior work experience.
