Key Responsibilities

Requirements
· Tertiary qualification in Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
· Domain knowledge and experience in EMV Contactless Specifications (C-2 to C-8 kernels, Book A, Book B), ISO 14443, ETSI TS 102 221
· Experience in developing and testing with EMV compliant products.
· Experience in testing and troubleshooting contactless card and mobile phone.
· Experience in C, C++, Java and other programming languages.
· Experience in developing test tools and using protocol analysers.
· Experience in web programming on UNIX/LINUX and Windows environment.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
· A good understanding of card clash scenario in Global Mass Transportation Fare Ticketing is a plus.
· Self-starter and can work independently.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
· Recruit and interview Test Engineers I & II.
· Communicate criteria to recruiters for Process Technician position candidates.
· Coach Test Engineers in the interviewing/hiring process.
· Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
· Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
· Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
· Coach and mentor Test Engineers I & II to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
Performance Management:
· Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
· Solicit ongoing feedback from Assistant Test Engineering Manager, Workcell Manager (WCM), Business Unit Manager (BUM), peers and team member on team member's contribution to the Workcell team. Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team members based on feedback.
· Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about their accomplishments.
· Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.

Cost Management:
· Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
· Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
· Provide feedback to Assistant Test Engineering Manager on cost and cost trends.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform duties, which involve conventional engineering practices that may include a variety of complex duties from ICT, FVT, ESS to System level test.
· Manage the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
· Through subordinate supervisors or professional staff, identify and evaluate test procedures and test equipment required to perform quality checks.
· Compile and document data necessary to analyze performance and make recommendations for changes in the testing process.
· Assist/spearhead in the development of special test equipment and software text programs as required for the successful completion of project.
· Assist customer, setup training program for new product testing procedures.
· Provide training and assist test engineers.
· Act as the liaison and technical conduit for assigned customers.
· Explore new avenues and test technologies for quality improvements on product assigned.
· Perform detailed analysis on test quality of product assigned, identify trends and spearhead corrective actions.
· Monitor, through assigned test engineer, all NPI activities.
· Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

Perform advanced electrical engineering functional tasks, including;
1. Manage sub-assembly/PCA projects to meet defined objectives, including targeted cost schedule and budget.

5. Create the necessary documentation for the subsystems/PCAs
6. Maintain engineering responsibility of the subsystem/PCA through the product life cycle and create product change orders as necessary
7. Have a good understanding of systems engineering of mechanical & Firmware integration.
8. Knowledgeable in PCA testing (eg FCT, ICT) and PCA qualification.

c) Work closely with Manufacturing Partner (MPa) ensure the parts are meeting the required specification.
d) Effective communication and working across different level and cross functional teams in the organization, including Internal customers, external suppliers and MPa.
e) To be the first layer of contact when there is an assembly process, components or test issue at MPa production lines. Ability to work as a team with process or product engineers to perform quick analysis and solution are expected to avoid line down. Identify the short term (rework, sorting, .etc) and long term solution (after the root cause is found) with time line is being identified.
f) Monitor PCA quality performance ad trend. Alert the respective authorities when there is significant drift in trend.
g) Compile a quality report when required. Involve in DFx (Design For Manufacturing, Assembly, Cost, Test…etc) if necessary to provide valuable input to NPI and RnD team.
Desired Skills & Experience
i) Bachelor, Masters Degree in Electrical/ Electronics.
ii) Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Electronic Industry
iii) Working Knowledge of Electrical CAD review tools, SMT process or PCA testing environment
iv) A team player, good inter personal and negotiation skills, high sense of responsibility personnel.
v) Ability to communicate in English is an added advantage.

Under limited supervision designs, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;
- Certification in software testing preferred; and
