Responsibilities:
- Assess and qualify potential suppliers based on quality criteria.
- Manage new project suppliers' development from first article (FA) to production handover, including PPAP/APQP processes. Develop and communicate quality requirements to suppliers.
- Develop and implement quality control plans for incoming materials and components with the internal technical team.
- Monitor and analyze supplier incoming quality performance for raw materials and outsourced secondary processes (e.g., plating, passivation, deburring, heat treatment) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Track monthly supplier performance metrics and compile supplier scorecards periodically.
- Raise NCMRs and liaise with suppliers for quality issues from IQC, production, or customers.
- Follow up on supplier dispositions for quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (8D) to address identified issues in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supplier quality processes to enhance overall supply chain quality performance.
- Plan and conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in customer/certification audits on the company's premises or at supplier sites related to supplier management.
- Arrange and organize routine MRB review meetings with the internal team for quality rejects and follow-up actions until closure.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior or management.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Engineering / Quality or related field
- 3 years of experience in supplier quality engineering in the automotive manufacturing environment, preferably in metal stamping.
- Internal Auditor certification for ISO/IATF 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 9001.
- Experience in managing suppliers, preferably in plating and secondary processes.
- Experience in conducting internal QMS/EMS audits and supplier audits as per automotive requirements.
- Experience in data analysis and developing/tracking supplier metrics and scorecards.
