The System Engineer plays a crucial role in the development of various telecommunication systems.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Systems Engineer will provide engineering design, technical configuration, and drawing of various telecommunication systems. This includes but is not limited to:
- Telecommunication systems covering technologies such as IP Infrastructure, WLAN, Firewall security, IP-PABX, PAGA, CCTV, VCS, TETRA/DMR UHF/VHF Radio, GMDSS Radio, GEO/MEO/LEO VSAT, IPTV, Radar, Gyrocompass etc.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of engineering design and providing a truly accessible understanding of client requirements.
- Producing high-quality engineering documents (VDRL) and closing client comments in a timely manner.
- Creating scratch drawings and guiding AUTOCAD drafters to produce deliverables.
- Adapting industrial standards and best practices into engineering drawing preparation, design, review, and submission.
- Guiding in-house technicians for equipment assembly and cabinet integration, implementing system configuration, simulation, testing, and verification.
- Conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT) with clients and providing in-house training as well as commissioning engineers.
- Minimum diploma in telecom or equivalent technical discipline.
- Proven 4-5 years' experience in a similar role within the industrial markets.
- Well-organized documentation and time management skills.
- Ability to articulate and share concepts with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead teams.
- Objective-driven, time-sensitive, and resourceful.
- Certificate of AUTOCAD will be an added advantage.
- Site commissioning / radio surveying experience as per SOLAS / MODU will be an added advantage.
- Ability to use various coverage tools such as CadnaA for PAGA, Ekahau for WIFI coverage, iBwave for UHF/GSM coverage will be an added advantage.

Pre-Project Responsibilities
1. Participate in the pre-sales process for Automated Test Systems (ATS).
2. Evaluate the cost Bill of Materials (BOM) and project schedule for system integration.
3. Discuss and define test purposes, requirements, and acceptance conditions with clients.
In-Project Responsibilities
1. Hardware
