Job Summary
As a member of the Global Operations Engineering department and a leader of the Manufacturing Engineering Council, the Principal Engineer has expertise in one or more critical process areas on semiconductor equipment assembly or weldments, with experience performing DOE, process modeling, system design and DFM.
Provide leadership to the ME council and drive global site Manufacturing Engineering leaders in strategic development of world‐class manufacturing methods, leveraging best‐known techniques to achieve global standardization.
Responsible for managing physical automation initiatives from ideation to deployment at multiple sites worldwide, working closely with Automation system engineering and site automation representatives to deploy multiple automation systems that improve productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Broad knowledge of Manufacturing Practices, Assembly Prints, Bill of Materials to guide Manufacturing Engineers in creating Manufacturing‐ready documentation such as S.O.E.’s (Sequence of Events) and Assembly Process Workflow.
Lead worldwide MFG Engineering leaders given the set of objectives to be met annually to govern the MFG Eng council.
Design new systems and processes for introducing new products or improving existing ones.
Ensure all product and system requirements are considered from initial product conception to final result as per Customer specifications.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Support and lead continuous improvement, problem‐solving, and process improvement activities.
Maintain contact with customers and vendor representatives; attend and participate in Customer meetings.
Consult with engineers, technicians, customers, and others to discuss best practices for streamlining build processes and procedures.
Manage and review manufacturing engineers' training records, ensuring competency matrices are maintained at optimum level worldwide.
Technical Project Management
Collaborate between automation system engineering and site automation representatives to identify new automation opportunities.
Manage multiple automation projects from ideation to deployment using project trackers and global automation tools and templates (incl. business‐case development, ROI calculation, scope of work, factory acceptance testing).
Periodically engage with all manufacturing sites to update and maintain the accuracy of the global automation maturity tracker.
Develop automation process mapping for global sites and update it periodically.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Who you are
A recent graduate from a Polytechnic or University with a diploma or degree in the relevant field.
Highly proficient in VBA/macros.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Open to learning and applying new technologies, such as Python or Power BI (a plus).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining Excel macros and scripts to automate recurring sustainability reporting tasks.
