Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform supplier qualification activities such as liaising with stakeholders (manufacturing team, procurement team, QC etc.) and suppliers (manufacturers and distributors of supplies, outsourced service provider etc.) to ensure supplier questionnaires are completed with relevant documents (e.g. business license, ISO certificates etc.)
  • Liaise with affiliate sites personnel for qualified supplier information deck to assess on the leverage of supplier qualification documents.
  • Lead/Support on-site audit at supplier site (if necessary. Prepare audit agenda, audit report and coordinate with supplier for CAPA response to close of audit observations.
  • Review and approve supplier questionnaires, quality agreements (QAA), and related documentation.
  • Perform quality assessment based on company procedures to determine if supplier can be qualified for GMP use.
  • Assess supplier-related risks and ensure mitigation actions are defined and implemented.
  • Support incoming material qualification and supplier monitoring activities.
  • Participate in internal audits and support regulatory inspections regarding supplier compliance.
  • Manage supplier-related quality events, including deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Biologics, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Bioengineering, or other relevant fields.
  • 3-5 years in supplier qualification QA in pharmaceutical/biopharma industry
  • Familiarity with FDA, EMEA, HSA and PIC/S GMP requirements.
  • Experience in leading audits is preferred .
  • Experience with biopharma commercial quality systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, TrackWise etc.
  • Strong learning ability.
  • Effective at cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  • Fluent in English.

What the role is

The incumbent works in a team responsible for the mandatory qualification verification requirement and other compliance checks, including audits, in the Work Pass Division. The key responsibilities include developing and implementing new and/or changes to existing policies and processes for the verification of qualifications submitted for work pass transactions, and developing plans and measures to detect, deter and prevent fraud and circumvention of regulations and controls in the work pass systems.

What you will be working on


• Ensure new and changes to policies on verification of qualifications submitted for work pass transactions are implemented effectively and efficiently. These include:
(i) ensuring operational-technology processes for qualification verification are effective and fit for purpose
(ii) evaluating and making recommendations to the management on cases of exceptions that are outside existing policy parameters
(iii) managing the day-to-day operational processes for qualification verification by outsourced vendor and background screening companies
(iv) proposing and implementing a governance framework for background screening companies to ensure quality of services delivered to employers
(v) responding and resolving complex customer queries escalated from frontline officers

• Plan and implement measures, in partnership with relevant government agencies and stakeholders, to detect, deter and prevent gaming and abuses of work pass controls by companies or workers

• Plan and conduct fraud-related reviews and checks on specific archetypes and work pass transactions

  • At least 12 years of relevant or progressive experience with large or medium size public accounting firms, with recent experience in an audit director/partner-level role.
