As a Technical Illustrator, you will play a vital role in the production of accurate and detailed drawings for our projects. Your primary responsibility will be to create high-quality shop drawings and construction documents from oral instructions, rough sketches, and notes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed drawings for submission and interior fit-out works/construction;
- Prepare drawings accurately from oral instructions, rough sketches, and notes, calculations, dimensions for construction or building works;
- Maintain, update, and make amendments to drawings as needed;
- Perform site checking to ensure proper dimension, connection, and detail for fabrication;
- Analyse and interpret changes to drawings;
- Ensure the drawings comply with specifications and company standards;
- Understand the project scope and requirements in the preparation of detailed shop drawings ensuring that the drawings are easily understood by the project teams;
- Ensure the proper indexing, filing, and storage of drawings in both hardcopy and electronic media;
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and accurately in a timely manner through workload prioritisation;
- Prepare documents and transmittal form for submissions;
- Consult with key personnel in the project planning on necessary details in the preparation of drawings;
- Study drawings and other pertinent papers in preparation for fabrication or erection drawings;
- Ensure that all materials are detailed and accounted for in erection drawings;
- Collaborate with quality supervisor to guarantee adherence to specification;
- Explain drawings to production or project teams and provide adjustments as necessary;
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of (Degree) in a relevant field such as engineering, architecture, or fine arts;
- Excellent drawing skills and attention to detail;
- Strong communication and analytical skills;
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools;
- Experience in working with various drafting standards and conventions;
