HBA Art is a brand partner of HBA, specializing in creating art concept proposals for hospitality projects. We are excited to broaden our search for creative individuals who are passionate about art and design.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Represent the team in project coordination, concept writing, presentations, artwork sourcing and editing, and documentation of art schedules and specifications in English and Chinese.
- Collaborate with interior designers and other consultants to create custom art and styling concepts for hospitality, restaurants, and residential projects.
- Develop concepts into artwork: Work with artists and artisans while adhering to client budget constraints.
- Ensure quality control: Conduct factory visits for both local and overseas custom art.
- Procurement: Source additional decorative items on location (local and international) and create procurement schedules and budgets.
- Oversee installation and styling: Be on-site when required (local and international).
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Recognized qualification in an art-related field (Art History & Design, Multimedia Art, Graphic Design, Product Design, Arts Management, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). 3D software, Sketch up etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional writing, presentations, and interaction with designers, clients, and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Understanding of design plans and elevations
- Enthusiasm for learning
- Strong sense of creativity, initiative, and reliability
Preferred:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (Basic)
- Strong understanding of international art trends
- Knowledge of Asian culture and history
- Experience sourcing new artists, artisans, and vendors.

How You Will Create An Impact

Class underwriter for Fine Art & Specie supporting the CEO (Singapore) and Head of Division (London) in delivering strategy and business plans.
Ensure all underwriters underwrite risks in accordance with the Company’s agreed appetite, authorities and processes.
Manage the Fine Art & Specie portfolio.
Provide professional, prompt service to brokers and clients.
Comply with the terms of personal underwriting authority.
Assist in ensuring that the Fine Art & Specie Underwriting Guidelines are reviewed and updated at least annually.
Ensure underwriters with Fine Art & Specie authority to underwrite in accordance with personal underwriting authority.

Ensure that premium entries in Subscribe are reviewed and accurately maintained in accordance with applicable procedures.

What You’ll Need To Succeed
Experience of Lloyd’s market as Underwriter or Broker is essential, and strong industry relevant experience is desired
Detailed Fine Art & Specie product knowledge with strong understanding of pricing and policy wordings
Chartered Insurance Institute qualification or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
Able to operate independently with little direction or guidance and strong team working approach
Good verbal, written and professional presence and ability to communicate at all levels with excellent negotiation skills
Assertive with a positive “can do” approach
