We are looking for candidates who are interested in both cyber security and data analytics. Your role is to analytical skills in evaluating data related to cyber threat activities operating within Singapore's cyberspace that could potentially impact national security.
What you will be working on
As a Cyber Analytics Engineer you will join our mission in cyber threat intelligence operations in selected or a combination of the following areas:
- Aggregate and enrich large amount of data from multiple sources.
- Design and develop cyber-analytics solutions to enable threat analysis and support decision-making.
- Contextualize and correlate cyber security threat events and data for the development of actionable threat intelligence.
- Present and communicate cyber-analytical findings with analysis of cyber threat incidents and/or cyber threat landscape to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct data mining on complex data sources to derive emerging cyber threat trends and patterns for the purpose of anomaly detection.
- Evaluate and make incremental improvements to internal, commercial and open-source tools for the purpose of enhancing and optimizing workflows and processes.

Job Responsibilities :The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the organization's analytics and visualization layer to ensure reliable, scalable, and well-documented data for business use. The engineer will own and manage all dbt models and ensure analytics requirements are translated into performant, accurate and reusable data models. The role also involves creating and maintaining dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and actionable insights. The Data Analytics Engineer will work closely with the Data Analytics Manager, business analysts, data analysts and data engineers to support decision-making and deliver analytics solutions aligned with business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Transformation:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dbt models to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Write dbt tests to ensure high data quality standards.
- Ensure data models follow development best practices in documentation, testing, and version control.
- Ensure the analytics stack integrates seamlessly with other components of the data platform (Eg Data catalog)
Analytics and Business Enablement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Data Analytics Manager to translate requirements into scalable analytics models and dashboards.
- Build and maintain Superset dashboards to enable self-service analytics and drive adoption across the organization.
- Administrate access to data in accordance with the company's data governance policies.
- Support ad hoc analytics and provide guidance to data analysts on leveraging data models for reporting and insights.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Driven individual who continually strives to keep up with the latest trends in analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with dbt (modeling, testing, documentation).
- Familiarity with BI tools, preferably Apache Superset (or similar, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience working with data in Data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or equivalent).
- Good understanding of data modeling, data transformation best practices, and analytics engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business questions into analytics solutions.
- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Good to have
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow).
- Experience with version control (Git) and software development best practices.
- Experience with CICD tools (Bitbucket pipelines, GitLab, Argo Workflow).
