We are looking for candidates who are interested in both cyber security and data analytics. Your role is to apply analytical skills in evaluating data related to cyber threat activities operating within Singapore’s cyberspace that could potentially impact national security.
What You Will Be Working On
As a Cyber Analytics Engineer, you will join our mission in cyber threat intelligence operations in areas such as:
- Aggregate and enrich large amounts of data from multiple sources.
- Design and develop cyber-analytics solutions to enable threat analysis and support decision-making.
- Contextualize and correlate cyber security threat events and data for the development of actionable threat intelligence.
- Present and communicate cyber-analytical findings with analysis of cyber threat incidents and/or cyber threat landscape to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct data mining on complex data sources to derive emerging cyber threat trends and patterns for anomaly detection.
- Evaluate and improve internal, commercial, and open-source tools to optimize workflows and processes.

We are seeking a versatile and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Analytics Engineer (Entry Level). In this role, you will build and maintain scalable data pipelines, develop and deploy machine learning (ML) models, and support the university’s data-driven initiatives using tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, and Power BI. In addition to data and ML development, you will also serve as an administrator of Microsoft Fabric, the university’s cloud analytics platform—ensuring efficient operations, governance, and user support. What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Machine Learning Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components (e.g., Data Pipelines, Dataflows) and PySpark.
- Ingest, clean, and transform data from diverse sources such as APIs, flat files, and databases.
- Operate within the Lakehouse architecture to ensure reliable, well-governed data delivery.
- Design, train, and evaluate models for classification, prediction, and segmentation use cases.
- Perform feature engineering, model tuning, and validation.
- Deploy models in collaboration with analytics specialists and contribute to building reusable ML feature stores.
- Ensure data quality, documentation, and lineage are maintained across workflows.
- Act as the primary administrator for Microsoft Fabric, overseeing workspace, capacity, and permission management.
- Monitor usage, performance, and cost metrics; troubleshoot and optimise resource allocation.
- Support onboarding of university teams to Microsoft Fabric and maintain security and compliance standards.
- Manage workspace hygiene, archival, and governance enforcement across all Fabric artefacts.
- Collaborate with the data warehouse team, analytics specialists, AI engineers, and domain users to deliver structured datasets and model outputs.
- Assist in building and refining Power BI datasets and dashboards for decision-making support.
- Possess a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics or related.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, including libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, and PySpark.
- Strong interest or hands-on experience in end-to-end ML development (from data prep to deployment).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows).
- Exposure to Power BI or equivalent BI/visualisation tools.
- Microsoft Fabric certification (or willingness to obtain one).

We’re hiring our first Senior Analytics Engineer — a software engineer who’s passionate about building with data. This is a foundational role where you’ll help architect our data platform from scratch, working across our backend systems and analytical layers to make data reliable, accessible, and actionable for the whole company.You’ll work closely with leadership, engineering, and product to define the metrics and models that drive HeyMax forward. Expect full ownership, high impact, and the opportunity to leave your fingerprints on everything from infrastructure choices to business logic.
- Design and implement our modern data stack from the ground up — likely including BigQuery, dbt, Databricks, and Fivetran, with orchestration tools like Airflow or n8n
- Build well-tested, maintainable, and scalable data models to support self-serve analytics and operational use cases
- Partner with engineers to instrument meaningful product events and ship reliable pipelines
- Write clean, modular SQL and Python code, and apply software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing, code reviews)
- Help define metrics and core business logic across product, growth, ops, and finance
- Establish data governance, documentation, and access practices as we scale
- Make architectural calls that will influence the next billion rows of data
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or software engineering roles focused on data
- Strong software fundamentals and comfort working across SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms
- Deep experience with dbt, BigQuery or Databricks, and data transformation at scale
- You treat analytics engineering like software engineering — clean abstractions, test coverage, and clear documentation matter
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and navigating across different codebases and teams
