Key Responsibilities:

Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) is an independent, international, and impartial non-profit that champions aviation safety around the world. The Asia Pacific Center for Aviation Safety (AP-CAS) is the Foundation's regional branch, dedicated to enhancing aviation safety outcomes across the APAC region through collaboration, research, advocacy, and the advancement of safety practices. FSF is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the Director of AP-CAS.
The Programme Coordinator reports to the Director of AP CAS and plays a pivotal role in the overall operations of the Centre. As the Centre grows its presence and project portfolio in the Asia Pacific region, this position will be a key enabler of programmatic continuity, stakeholder coordination, and technical delivery.
The role requires a skilled aviation professional with experience in operational and safety aspects in aviation, with in-depth knowledge of the APAC aviation ecosystem. The Program Coordinator will support the development and implementation of a work program for the AP-CAS, which includes safety management systems, safety information sharing, safety leadership and culture, identifying and addressing emerging safety risks, and developing new initiatives to advance aviation safety and support the anticipated growth in the APAC region. The Program Coordinator will also support the Director of the Centre in stakeholder engagement and developing partnerships within the region. Considerable travel within the APAC region will be required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Operational Support. Assist the Director in the daily management and coordination of Centre activities, ensuring seamless delivery of project objectives and timelines.
- Project Coordination. Support planning, execution, and reporting of AP-CAS projects, including tracking deliverables, preparing materials, and supporting engagement with subject matter experts. Coordinate project development between AP-CAS and stakeholders.
· Technical Contribution. Provide analytical and subject matter support for select initiatives, drawing on aviation safety knowledge to assist with content development and workshop/webinar facilitation.
· Quality Control. Assist the Director in reviewing project deliverables to ensure a consistent and high-quality output. Work directly with Project Managers to achieve the objectives of each project. Provide feedback to Project Managers, as required.
· Stakeholder Engagement. Work closely with the Director to manage relationships with the APAC stakeholder community (e.g. international organizations, regulators, operators, ANSPs, OEMs, institutes of higher learning, research institutions, associations) to develop collaborative relationships and partnerships to advance the Center mission.
· Project and Event Support. Assist in the organization and delivery of regional workshops/webinars and training sessions, including logistical coordination and follow-up. Assist the director in preparing presentations and briefing materials.
· Communications and Reporting: Draft summaries, progress reports, and communications material related to Centre activities and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
· A four-year university degree, preferably an advanced degree in aviation management, policy analysis, or engineering.
· Favorable consideration will be given to candidates who hold, or have held, a license as commercial pilot or maintenance engineer or air traffic controller.
Professional Experience — required
· At least 7 years of experience in aviation relating to aviation safety, flight operations, maintenance engineering or air traffic management.
· Experience in managing programmes and the stakeholders involved to achieve buy-in, positive outcomes with efficient use of resources.

SAA is looking to recruit a Deputy Manager / Manager to manage the training programmes for the School of Aviation Safety and Security.
What You Will Be Working On
Reporting to the Head of School of Aviation Safety and Security, you will oversee the development and review, and the conduct of training programmes (including curriculum) to meet CAAS, local and international trainees’ needs. This includes engaging both local and international partners for needs assessment, and proposing relevant training programmes, and infusing interactive learning methods and technology to meet the current and future needs of the industry. You will conduct systematic review and evaluation of programmes and conduct benchmarking exercises to ensure the highest quality of training. You will also have opportunities to organise safety and security seminar, workshops and other events. You will support the continuous development of the teaching talent pool to meet the required training standards and demand. In addition, you will be responsible for the smooth operations, administration, planning and budgeting of the School.
What We Are Looking For
At least 1 to 2 years of working experience in the aviation industry, preferably with teaching or instructing experience
Good knowledge on any specialised topic(s) in aviation safety or security. Knowledge of aviation safety or security regulatory requirements will be a bonus.
Experienced in course management will be an advantage.
Excellent verbal, analytical, written communication and interpersonal skills
Team player, self-motivated, results-oriented
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or a contract renewal.
