Key Responsibilites:

Line Maintenance is an operational critical section in Engineering Department that supports the Company’s brand and business by delivering a safe, reliable and cost-effective line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific Airways as well as our third party customers in the global network.

The Aircraft Mechanic performs operational functions under the supervision of Aircraft Engineer ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.

Responsible for:

• Perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers (if applicable) under supervision of the Aircraft Engineer

• Monitor third party supplier’s performance (technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling etc.), follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner

• Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.

• Perform station administration and ensure station documentations / passes are up-to-date and valid as directed.

• Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities

• Control stock and housekeeping of the aircraft part store

• Perform local or overseas operational relief duties when required

As an aerospace technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft engines and related components.

• Perform disassembly and assembly of engine/modules for repair and overhaul.
• Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Install engine components onto the engine/module.
• Perform troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance work.

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems. A minimum diploma in engineering, preferably in aerospace, is required. Additionally, 2 years of working experience in the aviation industry as a full-fledged technician is essential.

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanically and electrically trained on aircraft systems.
• Exposure to commercial aircraft from Boeing and Airbus, wide and narrow-bodied airframes.
• Able to commit rotating shifts.

Aerospace Technician roles involve performing critical tasks to meet production schedules.

• Assemble, disassemble, clean, inspect, troubleshoot and test components according to maintenance requirements.
• Resolve issues promptly and accurately update repair cost estimates.
• Closely collaborate with supervisors and support personnel to address problems as they arise.
• Adhere to quality management systems such as AS9110C / Airworthiness Part 145 requirements.
• Understand common measuring equipment usage like torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, bore and depth gauges.
• Comply with environment, health and safety policies and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with US and Singapore export control regulations.

• NITEC or Higher NITEC Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Aerospace-related courses).
• Prior experience with Air legislation CAAS/EASA papers L12/L11/M10 or relevant industry qualifications is advantageous.
• Preferably holds a degree or diploma in engineering.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Proficient in reading and working from technical manuals, specifications, drawings and other written instructions.
• Computer literacy with knowledge in SAP preferred.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written are required.
