Key Responsibilities

Line Maintenance is an operational critical section in Engineering Department that supports the Company's brand and business by delivering a safe, reliable and cost-effective line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific Airways as well as our third party customers in the global network.

The Aircraft Mechanic performs operational functions under the supervision of Aircraft Engineer ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.

Responsible for:

• Perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers (if applicable) under supervision of the Aircraft Engineer
• Monitor third party supplier's performance (technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling etc.), follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner
• Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.
• Perform station administration and ensure station documentations / passes are up-to-date and valid as directed.
• Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities
• Control stock and housekeeping of the aircraft part store
• Perform local or overseas operational relief duties when required

Requirements

Qualification/ Experience:

• Min High School graduation (Secondary School)
• Demonstrably aptitude and understanding of aircraft maintenance operations
• Have (or be willing to receive) induction training / on the job training as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Handling and Aircraft Maintenance

• Performs technical handling activities and tasks as instructed

• Assists the Engineer to carry out repairs on aircraft (in case of technical activities under supervision of a Ground/Duty Engineer), compliant with the technical requirements and customer demands

• Reports (technical) irregularities and progress of work performed to Engineer or Maintenance Manager

• Assists the Engineer with aircraft inspections & documentations

• Assists the Engineer with analysing defects and complaints (trouble shooting)

• Supervise mechanics in his charge in carrying out the works and duties assigned

• Brake rider activities for towing.

2. Maintenance and control of equipment, tools, stores and overall station activities

• Performs minor repairs and cleaning activities on tools and equipment

• Assists in keeping the store and station tidy and compliant with the rules and regulations

• Carry out station related activities and task assigned as delegated

• Identifies local opportunities for new contracts

The responsibilities and tasks of the position are not limited to the above mentioned and change might occur in concert with direct Manager.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic: $2,200 – $,300, Gross Salary: Up to 4,500+
• 250 fixed monthly shift allowance
• 9% salary increment after 2 weeks training
• Monthly guaranteed bonus + 4–5 months performance bonus (quarterly payout)

Work Schedule –4-day work week, 9 hour rotating shifts

• Morning: 6.30am – 4.15pm
• Afternoon: 4.00pm – 1.45am

Location

As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and servicing of aircraft in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out duties including transit handling, arrival/departures, refueling, towing, wingtip marshalling, component change, defect rectification and customers work packages
• Coordinate with customers on spare, work packages and planned tasks
• Ensure timely completion of work assignments
• Ensure equipment serviceability is maintained and accounted.
