Job Description:

Requirements:

Minimum GCE 'O' or "N' level.

Computer knowledge is essential- Microsoft office etc.

Working hours: Mon-Fri hours.

Location: Near Pasir Ris MRT

• Manage the daily movement of drivers (Import/Export/Depot/local)
• Update manager with daily driver's attendance and deployment
• Coordinate with customer service executives to ensure and meet with customer delivery schedule and timing to achieve service level goals
• Ensure that all drivers follow and perform safety checks and requirements at all times to achieve zero accident
• Training provided for those with no experience
• Must be a team player
• Able to work under pressure

• Manage and lead a team of prime mover drivers

• Plan and set priorities for daily activities efficiently

• Assign jobs to drivers

• Monitor and track job progress to ensure all assignments are delivered timely

• Control and monitor closely with drivers on their movement

• Communicate and handle drivers' feedback and problems efficiently

• Process and handle documentation

• Coordinate and communicate closely with customer service for all customer trucking

• Communicate closely with team to improve and maximize company resources

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Common tasks carried out by the candidate will include:

• Answering phone calls from customers for their transport requirements

• Planning and co-ordainting driver movements

• Ensuring that all operations are carried out in accordance to Singapore Transport Regulations

• Liaising and negotiating with different stakeholders including customers, LTA and various transport operators

• Minimising disruption and resolving any unscheduled delays, having to make decisions in difficult situations

• Meeting customers to deal with complaints and areas of concern

• Using IT systems: GPS, Order Management Systems to manage driver and order movements

• Monitor vehicle insurance, road tax and servicing dates

Candidate will have to perform adminstative tasks onto of daily tasks.

• Able to converse in English and Chinese as drivers are mainly from China. Ability to speak Malay will be a bonus to communicate with the malaysian mechanic

• Good understanding of the roads in Singapore

Duties / Scope of works

• Take charge of drivers and delivery assistants
• To feedback on any safety violations or discipline by drivers to the Operation Manager
• To adhere and inculcate safety requirements always
• Plan, schedule, organize and assign jobs daily
• Constant communications with drivers to ensure given jobs is completed
• Liaise and co-ordinate with Customer on any problem pertaining to the job
• To report any cargo damage and traffic accident to Operation Manager
• Assist the Operation Manager to investigate incidents/accidents promptly
• Send all finding reports i.e. Incident Report / CAPA to Operation Manager / Senior Manager upon request
• To take early initiative to ask customer for time extension for export collections if requires
• To effectively plan and use appropriate vehicle and equipment
• To check all company asset and equipment are in good hands
• To plan and schedule vehicle for servicing and inspection
• Escalate and report any cargo discrepancy to immediate superior
• Report any delivery abnormality & discrepancy to immediate superior
• Constant and close monitoring of all deliveries and collections
• Others related to department's import/export operations matters
• Attend to customer's phone calls after office hours
• Follow up on drivers feedback and seek Operation Manager advice if needed
• Assist the Operation Manager to monitor the maintenance schedule of the department's vehicles and arrange accordingly
• Assist the Operation Manager in replying to daily customer operational queries and requests
• To perform any other tasks assigned by Operation Manager and Senior Manager

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum secondary school
• Min 3 years experiences in similar field
• Good communication skill
• Able to read and write English
• Ability to handle stress in a fast pace environment
• PC literate
• Willing to work long hours at Alps Ave (Changi area)
