We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Test Lead to lead our testing team. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing all testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. The Test Lead will provide strong leadership, hands-on testing expertise, and a deep understanding of software testing methodologies. The role may require support during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Requirements:- Lead and manage the testing team to deliver high-quality software releases on schedule.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with project requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee functional, regression, performance, and automation testing activities.
- Ensure test coverage and traceability through requirement mapping and risk-based testing.
- Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide testers, promoting best practices within the team.
- Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate testing activities with external vendors or partners, as needed.
- Provide support for testing activities during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience leading end-to-end testing for medium to large-scale projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Experience in large-scale projects, particularly in transport/traffic management domains (e.g., enterprise-wide Traffic Management Systems), is advantageous.
- Strong experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Centre, TestRail).
- Hands-on expertise in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver results under pressure.
- Experience in performance testing and automation testing is advantageous.
