Responsibilities

• Project manage infrastructure and buildings projects within new estate divisions
• Managing project budgets, schedule and resources
• Coordinating with team members and stakeholders as part of the design interface
• Reporting project status to management team as and when needed
• Assist in preparing development paper submissions as part of the funding approval process
• Interface and coordinate with government agencies /authority on any development issues
• Identify potential construction related issues or /and contractual disputes and provide appropriate solution, ensure a quality tender documents with all necessary requirements,
• Deliver the buildings and infrastructure on time
• Resolve technical and design issues with consultants and contractors

Requirements

• Background in Civil preferably with at least 5 of relevant working experience in developer, consultant or contractor firms.

A civil engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they meet safety standards and regulations while addressing environmental impacts.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and Planning: create detailed plans and blueprints for infrastructure projects and utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to draft and visualize designs.

· Project Management : manage construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

· Site Inspections : conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations, also perform risk assessments and address any issues that arise during construction.

· Regulatory Compliance : They ensure that all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental laws and safety standards. This may involve preparing permit applications and environmental impact statements.

· Technical Expertise : to provide technical advice and innovative solutions to construction challenges, ensuring the feasibility and sustainability of projects.

1. Provide comprehensive design services to clients, including preliminary & detailed design of civil works including roads, alignment, drainage, sewerage, utilities, etc. for infrastructure and building projects, and be able to deliver solutions to complex problems.
2. Write, consolidate, and review technical reports of infrastructure projects and studies.
3. Prepare detailed design reports and presentations to clients.
4. Possess initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise during design and construction stages.
5. Ensure compliance with Project Design Criteria/Client Brief/ Approved Concept, as well as relevant design standards and office standards.

1. Recognized Civil Engineering qualification or related field (Bachelor/ Master’s degree).
2. Minimum 4 to 9 years of professional design experience in the field of civil works design, including roads, alignment, drainage, sewerage, utilities, etc. Candidates with structural and/or geotechnical design experiences will be advantageous.
3. Sound understanding and knowledge of civil related regulations, standards, and reference of design – such as Euro Design Codes, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice, and statutory requirements (LTA, BCA, PUB etc.), with hands-on experience in usage of Civil Engineering Software.
4. Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
5. Energetic, proactive, and reliable team player with excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Job Description & Requirements

We seek an experienced and efficient Civil and Structural Engineer for our construction department. As a site engineer, you will monitor diversified aspects of construction project management. This will include planning, coordination, and supervision of on-site activities. You will ensure all aspects of the project align with engineering and design specifications, industry standards, and construction regulations. You will also foster effective communication by liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Supervision on Piling works/Diaphragm walls
• Supervision on RC works/ERSS
• Overall in charge and supervise construction work and earthwork (By area)
• Assist in the coordination of traffic and drain diversion
• Supervise temp work
• Supervising and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, survey reports, and other technical documentation to guide the construction process.
• Planning and overseeing the allocation of resources, materials, and equipment to optimise project efficiency.
• Monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and adhering to budget constraints.
• Providing technical guidance and expertise to resolve construction-related challenges.
• Able to attend early morning site meetings and other ad hoc duties.

Required skills and qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 3-5 years of experience as a site engineer, civil engineer, or an equivalent role.
• Proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, AutoCAD, and other software.
• Ability to manage multiple construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Competent in assessing, interpreting, and presenting survey reports and other critical data for stakeholders and shareholders.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
