What you will be responsible for:
Government & Regulatory Engagement
Develop and implement strategies to maintain strong relationships with relevant government agencies in Singapore, Southeast Asia and APAC.
Monitor and assess regulatory developments related to blockchain, semiconductor, AI, and data centres in Singapore, Southeast Asia and APAC.
Work with trade associations and industry groups to advocate for industry-friendly policies.
Represent the company in public-private dialogues and government consultations to shape policy formulation.
Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships between Bitdeer Group and government entities, aligning with the company's business objectives.
Assist to support Bitdeer’s policy efforts in other geographies when required.
Policy Strategy & Risk Assessment
Develop strategic insights into regulatory risks and opportunities that impact business operations in Singapore, Southeast Asia and the APAC region.
Analyse and update Bitdeer management on key political, legislative, policy, and trade developments that could affect semiconductor, AI, and data center regulations.
Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, and business teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
Stakeholder & Industry Partnerships
Build coalitions with think tanks, trade associations, and policy research institutions to drive positive industry discussions.
Coordinate policy outreach initiatives with business partners, government relations teams in other markets, and external consultants.
Work with Public Relations to align policy messaging and strategy in relevant markets, when cross-border issues arise etc.
Advocacy & Thought Leadership
Represent the company at industry conferences and working groups.
Support executives in engaging with government officials through briefings, presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
Advocate for Bitdeer Group's interests in the areas of semiconductor, blockchain, data center operations and AI cloud services with relevant government authorities.
Work closely with government agencies to contribute insights and recommendations on policies related to semiconductor, blockchain, data center operations, and AI cloud.
How you will stand out:
Degree (Bachelor's, Master) or Equivalent in Political Science, International Affairs, or other relevant fields from a top-tier university.
At least 5+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs in the blockchain, semiconductor, data center or AI sectors.
Deep knowledge of Singapore and Southeast Asian regulatory landscape, particularly in AI governance, data centers, and emerging technology.
Strong network within Singaporean regulatory agencies and trade associations.
Strong analytical skills in policy risk assessment and strategic decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil and communicate complex policy issues into actionable business strategies.
Experience working with cross-border teams and navigating geopolitical regulatory challenges.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders and projects concurrently.
Ability to independently plan and execute strategic initiatives with high-level guidance
Experience engaging with international organisations and foreign government agencies is an advantage
Networks in other Southeast Asian markets in the AI, data centre and semiconductor space is an advantage
Familiarity with US regulatory frameworks affecting blockchain, AI, and semiconductors is a strong plus.

Job Description
Meta is looking for people with crisis, risk management, or decision support experience gained in tech, business, or government policy to join our Strategic Response Policy (SR Policy) team. The team's purpose is to handle crisis situations that require cross-functional coordination, and communication to leadership, in order to mitigate serious risks to the company or the community. This could relate to pieces of content posted on the platform, the impact of terrorist attacks and violent incidents on our platforms, and thinking strategically about how geo-political events may present policy risk. SR Policy sits within our Content Policy team which is responsible for setting our Community Standards and Business Policies governing content on the platform. The role of SR Policy is to help leadership make enforcement decisions in the most critical cases when operating under significant time sensitive environment and stakeholder scrutiny. To do that we operate a global 24/7 on-call shift system, with responsiveness and accuracy of authoring communications being of paramount importance. You will need to be personally resilient, flexible and able to multi-task, enjoy quick turnaround work and be prepared to work on thematic issues that some may find emotive. To do this effectively, you are likely someone who can think strategically about risk, whilst also being able to probe into the detail of fast-moving situations. Someone who has operated at the intersection of policy and operations may be particularly suitable. You will be based out of Singapore and will provide a focal point for issues across the APAC region. SR Policy is a global team that responds to issues across regions and time zones. You will be expected to work on issues as they arise irrespective of geography.
**Required Skills:**
Public Policy Manager, Strategic Response Policy Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate cross-functional Crisis response to major geopolitical or violent events
2. Manage high profile escalations within the company including: chairing cross-functional meetings, aligning decision-makers, and escalating issues to leadership for decision as needed
3. Proactively identify and assess potential risks, and work with policy, legal and operational teams to develop risk mitigation approaches, and drive cross-functional implementation, particularly relating to content issues
4. Operate independently, and be confident managing multiple internal stakeholders, balancing differing opinions and perspectives, and weighing up risk in order to provide effective policy advice to leadership
5. Produce and present internal communications for leadership to inform them of ongoing situations, and provide recommendations and decision support
6. Inform policy development work, partnering with subject-matter experts to develop global policy standards
**Minimum Qualifications:**

7. 10+ years of program management experience with a Bachelor's degree in public policy, legal, political science, risk management, or related discipline
8. Knowledge of geo-political,security or societal issues in APAC, how they intersect with social media, and the possible impacts real world events will have on the safety of the community
9. Explain complex issues clearly in a multi-tasking and deadline-based environment
10. Experience providing decision support and advice to executives and leaders
11. Effective at consensus-building, and communicating with internal audiences
