Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, quality delivery, and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Accessibility Design: Develop and implement accessibility solutions that meet the needs of diverse user groups, including individuals with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.
- User-Centered Approach: Foster partnerships with disability organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders to ensure that accessibility solutions are user-centered and effective.
- Tech Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate assistive technologies, such as AI-powered tools, wearables, and smart home devices.
- Evaluation and Research: Conduct ongoing evaluation and research to identify best practices, emerging trends, and potential gaps in accessibility solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Accessibility Design, Disability Studies, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accessibility design, project management, or related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills; expertise in accessibility design, user-centered approaches, and tech development.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD; proficiency in coding languages like HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Education Accessibility Specialist . This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing communication accessibility for students with hearing loss (HL) via the medium of Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) in a mainstream school.
The successful candidate will interpret (English Language to and from SgSL) for lessons, school activities, and programmes. They will also modify and align teaching strategies to suit the needs of HL students, work with school management to review and improve school systems/processes in support for HL students, provide consultation and build capacity of teachers and other school personnel to support HL students, conduct and/or organise workshops for parents and families of HL students, and attend and participate in events and meetings.
To succeed in this role, you should have achieved SgSL Course Level 3 or at least SEE2 Advanced Stage, have a diploma or degree in any field, have relevant qualifications and experience in teaching (preferred), and preferably have experience in interacting with the Deaf community.
