Responsibilities
Sales responsibility for and management of the Academia & Public sector team in our APAC market
Acquiring new business and further developing our client base across all company verticals (governments, universities, libraries, public institutions)
Proactively develop sales opportunities from a variety of business product categories
Consistently achieve individual monthly sales targets
Draft, conceptualize and share new sales campaigns and ideas within our growing team
Maintaining our existing B2B clients as well as implementing upsell and cross-sell measures
Meet prospective clients for presentations and actively organize speaking opportunities in your designated sales region
Working with clients throughout the entire sales cycle
Requirements
8-10 years direct sales experience, preferably selling market intelligence products & services or other SaaS online solutions
Experience in outbound Academia or government sales as well as in acquiring new business in the Southeast Asia region
Experience mentoring a team (2-5 people)
Excellent command of English and an additional regional languages beneficial
Competitive sales nature with a desire to win
Customer-centric mindset to understand how Statista can benefit our prospects
Experience in driving sales negotiations with both influencers and decision makers
Ability to manage a high volume of activity
Desire to be part of a rapidly expanding business
