Overview
We are looking for a Vice President – Acceptance Commercialization, to drive product commercialization and go-to-market execution of Mastercard’s Asia Pacific regional acceptance strategy.
Acceptance team is part of the Mastercard Asia Pacific Regional Team responsible for product management of payment acceptance products, increasing the overall footprint of our acceptance network and optimizing the use of our acceptance end-points. Acceptance products are all about enabling consumers at a point-of-sale (in person and online) environment, to make a purchase using payment form factors of their choice.

As we enter the expectation economy and alternate payments methods (such as wallets and national account to account payment networks) emerging and expanding rapidly across Asia Pacific, we are experiencing a rapid change in the payments industry. We need to change, innovate and move fast to become the number one payments technology company in AP. We need to scale on acceptance development through traditional channel partners (such as acquirers, PSPs, Payment facilitators) and non-traditional channel partners (such as e-wallets, MNOs, B2B marketplaces, Independent Software Vendors- ISVs etc.)
This team is at the forefront of that change and focusing on emerging products such as Tap on Phone, QR, Next Gen Point of Interaction.
A suitable candidate will be motivated to think differently, deliver on short-medium term timelines, and collaborate teams across Mastercard and external partners and customers to execute the acceptance strategy to achieve the regional objectives.
The individual will contribute to channel partnership, commercialization, and work hand in hand with the regional, global and market teams to scale our acceptance capabilities.
Role
The role will be focused on leading the successful roll-out of acceptance business within AP, to include:
• Lead go-to-market plan development & business development for acceptance products in conjunction with counterparts in divisions and markets.
• wn regional acceptance KPIs and develop country wise commercialization strategy for different segments.
• A hieve aggressive growth on partnership with channel partners to scale acceptance solutions such as Tap on Phone, Soundboxes and traditional acceptance.
• P ospect and contract channel partners through coordination with product development, internal support teams such as customer delivery, operations and technology, legal, finance and market/geography teams.
• P ay a key role to facilitate financial modeling / business case development for new business opportunities: execute commercial deals from initial engagements, client negotiations, contract agreement process to implementation.

The Role

As an Analyst for our Product Management team specializing in Real Time Payment solutions, you will be responsible for the following:
• Landscape, market sizing and analysis of Mastercard data to identify pain points and opportunities for account to account payment flows and key customers
• inancial modeling / business case development for the introduction of new product features and platforms such as P&L analysis
• W rk with cross functional teams such as Account Sales, Product Delivery, Implementation, Digital Partnerships, Legal and Compliance and other teams to deliver solutions and go-to-market execution
• W rk with customers for product / change request intake, product lifecycle documentation management
• W rk with customers for product & release prioritization
• P oject management of key projects and initiatives from conception to implementation
• S les training and enablement of the in-market product and business development teams with the required best practices, tool kits, business modelling and subject matter expertise

• D monstrate passion for Digital Payments and payments industry in general
• E cellent analytical capabilities – demonstrated ability in utilizing internal and external data to manage performance and provide insights. Attention to detail is a must.
• Gre t communications and presentation skills, including the ability to work with people across a matrix organization at all levels
• N gotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage others under a common goal
• F exibility and adaptability to change and uncertainty
• P oficiency in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.) at an intermediate/advance level will be required.
• P ior experience with data modelling tools and dashboards such as Tableau/Power BI would be preferred.

Overview


The Small Business Solutions team drives opportunities within Asia Pacific to grow and defend our business in a profitable and sustainable manner. This role, based in Singapore will be part of the Commercial and New Payments Flow team which is responsible for advancing Mastercard’s small business efforts in Asia Pacific, and reports to Senior Vice President, Small Business Solutions, Asia Pacific.



The individual will be responsible for supporting our overall strategy for the Small Business Segment, product development and management, analysis and reporting, and sharing best practices. This individual will be partnering with the Regional Small Business Solutions organization to deliver GDV, market share and revenue objectives for our key markets.


Role


The scope of this role is to support the growth of our distribution for Mastercard solutions in the Small Business Segment through the following activities: 

Develop and execute on product strategy, product roadmap, go-to-market for Small Business solutions.

Commercialise new, differentiated features and benefits to enhance sales and optimization strategy for existing and prospective distribution partners in order to drive new business and incremental growth for Mastercard's Small Business portfolio.

Develop optimal business model and value proposition to enable Mastercard to capture new payment flows, drive revenue and market share growth.

Monitor developments of payment market products and programs for the small business segment from both issuer and end-user client perspective.

Monitor the landscape of competitive products and industry trends via desktop research or primary research engagements, understand their implications on the Mastercard Small Business cards portfolio, and make necessary adjustments to our product suite.

Effectively communicate launch of new products, services & platforms and/or enhancements to internal stakeholders and external customers through bulletin announcements, briefing sessions, PR, customer pitches, etc.

Lead and manage a team of regional product managers

Strong product management skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver impact and results

Relevant industry experience preferred, such as payments, cards, financial services, fintech, start-up world etc.

Track record of initiating new approaches to doing business and driving implementation to deliver tangible business results

Strong team player with good communication, storytelling and presentation skills

Strong research, analytical and technical skills

Self-motivated and able to operate within a cross-functional team environment

Skilled at management reporting and gathering insights from granular data to influence decision making

Organizational savviness to navigate a highly matrixed organization and resilience to thrive in high pressure goal-oriented, and substantial revenue growth driven environment.

Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred.

English is mandatory.

Willingness to travel throughout the region.

Job Description Summary

Director, Product Management Security Solutions Organization (SSO) team is responsible for MasterCard’s safety and security related product development efforts to protect the integrity of the electronic payment system as well as ensure payments are convenient yet secure. The products are primarily focused on authentication, fraud prevention, risk mitigation and dispute resolution across all payment channels as well as all stakeholders, issuers, acquirers, merchants, processors and consumers.

Overview

The Director, SSO Solutions will have ownership of a portfolio of Decision Products and Solutions as part of the Regional SSO team. He / She will work closely with the markets SSO leads as well as Global SSO Product owners to determine market needs and roll out these products and solutions. The position will be responsible for the ongoing management and enhancements of these products, engage with internal and external stakeholders in their marketing and distribution.

Can you develop and articulate, to internal and external audiences including our issuer, merchant and acquirer partners, thought leadership on current fraud trends in customer needs, best practices, implications for product rollouts, and future product opportunities? Do you have a proven track record of executing strategy successfully against measurable objectives? Can you work in in a diverse cross functional environment with limited support?

Role
• Work as part of the AP SSO team to manage Decision Product suite. Devise and implement strategies for their rollout and adoption. Support the markets with adequate analysis as required to demonstrate the value of these products.
• Working closely with global teams to identify and execute product enhancements and new product constructs to drive additional revenue opportunities. These efforts include ideation, concept validation, business case development, creation of associated pricing and other market readiness activities
• Demonstrate thought-leadership, product/technology development expertise and strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new product and service solutions.
• Foster and maintain a close partnership with various stakeholders – markets, sales teams, Mastercard Advisors, account leads and key customers to gather feedback and drive ongoing product improvement and drive the successful rollout of the solutions to issuers, acquirers and merchants.
• Understand the required product functionality and features, and commercialization of products in consultation with internal stakeholders (i.e., product sales, customer delivery, customer implementation team, relationship managers, O&T, Legal, Franchise) external customers and third parties.
• Ensure accurate and timely budget tracking and forecasting
• Monitor and evaluate product performance; ability to locate and use relevant data to support performance measurement, tracking, and product insights. Assist with the implementation of a new product management excellence (PME) discipline.
• Support managing the team as a backup for the vertical product lead
