Responsibilities:

• Engage with business users, stakeholders, and product owners to elicit, analyze, clarify, and validate business requirements.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and observation sessions to uncover functional and non-functional requirements.
• Document and maintain user stories, use cases, process flows, data mapping, and interface specifications.
• Work closely with the Software Manager and Software Lead to ensure that business requirements are translated into appropriate system architecture and design artifacts.
• Participate in solution walkthroughs, UX design validation, and requirement signoffs.
• Track and manage requirements through the lifecycle using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Collaborate with the QA Lead and test team to ensure test plans and test cases accurately reflect the requirements, assist in defining acceptance criteria for user stories and validate coverage between requirements and test cases to ensure completeness.
• Support UAT by helping define test scenarios and coordinating with business users.
• Plan and conduct training sessions for end-users after system rollout, including preparation of user guides and walkthrough materials.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in large-scale or enterprise IT environments.
• Practical experience in collaborating with QA teams to ensure end-to-end requirements traceability and test coverage.
• Experience translating business needs into technical artifacts such as system requirement specifications (SRS), user interface specifications (UIS), and use case diagrams.
• Comfortable with preparing end-user training materials and conducting training sessions post-deployment.
• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with mobile and web applications.
• Basic understanding of software delivery in containerized environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Domain knowledge in ports C2 system, e.g. seaports, airports, land ports.
• Understanding security and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

The Laboratory of Surgical System & Service Innovation (3SI) is a multi-disciplinary laboratory that provides a platform for cutting-edge surgical health services research that informs healthcare systems, policies, and programs to provide high-value, patient centered care for patients and their families undergoing surgery.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, meticulous, and responsible Senior / Research Officer to work closely with a team of experienced researchers and the clinical team in health system, services innovation, and novel surgical technologies research. You will be part of a holistic clinical and health services research team whose mission is to improve clinical outcomes for seriously ill patients in surgery.

Among others, your role will focus on supporting the development and maintenance of surgical registries and databases as well as the design, execution, and publication of high-impact surgical health services research. Research include those related to real-world surgical outcomes, patient-centred care, health equity, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Database/Registry Development & Maintenance

• Design and create a data pipeline that meets the pre-specified needs and requirements of projects and maintains its proper function

2. Data Collection, Management, Analysis, Managing data quality

• Gathering data from various sources and organizing it for analysis
• Performing statistical and data analysis techniques to generate insights from the data
• Data quality control – Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data through data validation and cleaning
• Apply data science/machine learning methods to analyse large datasets

3. Performing exploratory data analysis

• Performing descriptive analysis to facilitate initial data investigation
• Summarising and presenting exploratory data analysis results to stakeholders

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, and Information Systems, Soft Engineering, biomedical science, statistics or any related computational disciplines or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, Java code writing
• Hands-on experience with database design and development
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modelling, and software architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms.
• Demonstrated technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Familiarity with healthcare database management systems and processes as well as healthcare data governance policies and regulation will be an advantage.
