Job Purpose

As the Director of UX Design for Digital Customer Solutions at DHL Express, you will lead the design strategy for our digital platforms, creating seamless, user-centered experiences for our global customers. You will oversee a distributed design team, driving innovation, quality, and efficiency while balancing customer needs with business priorities.

We are looking for an experienced leader with strong design expertise, business acumen, and a proven record of managing global teams. You should be results-driven, skilled at using data to inform decisions, and able to iterate quickly. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, you will take ownership, mentor others, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

The role location is either Singapore or Bonn, Germany.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?


  • Lead and develop a high-performing UX design team focused on creating compelling digital customer experiences across DHL Express platforms.
  • Define and execute the UX vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer service teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.
  • Champion user research, data-driven design, and usability testing to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for best practices in usability, accessibility, and responsive design within a fast-paced, global organization.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, balancing business objectives with customer-centric design principles.
  • Drive UX innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.


Management Responsibility


  • This role will have direct management responsibility for two team members, as well as indirect oversight of the ITS design team.


Do you have what it takes?


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Design field (e.g., UX, Management, Innovation Management, Service Design, C57gor related field.
  • Preferred if the candidate has had some managerial training.
  • 10-12 years of experience in leading UX design teams within complex, digital-first environments.
  • Strong expertise in digital customer solutions, user research, and service design.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate customer insights into actionable design strategies that impact business success.
  • Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Mural, MS Suite, Adobe, etc).
  • Excellent facilitation skills to plan, lead, and execute workshops with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in logistics, supply chain, or related industries is a plus.

We are currently in beta, with multiple user types and we need someone who obsesses over how these people experience UR — end-to-end .

What You’ll Do

  • Own the UX Strategy : Lead the end-to-end experience thinking across the product — from onboarding, card activation, and crypto on-ramping, to fiat exits, cross-chain transfers, and KYC loops.
  • Design for User Modes : Understand and design for user context and what that means for their in-app experience, default paths, information surfaces, and UI affordances.
  • Drive User Research : Define what research should be done (qualitative interviews, usage data, surveys, prototypes), the questions we’re answering, and the outcomes we want. Then lead and execute it.
  • UX Writing : Own key UX copy surfaces — from onboarding instructions to empty states, tooltips, and error messages and ensure they are simple, human, and precise.
  • Mentor & Guide Designers : Work closely with our UI-focused designers to raise the UX maturity of the team.
  • Collaborate Cross-functionally : Be a strong partner to product and engineering. Question legacy flows, challenge technical constraints, and help shape UX-informed tradeoffs that move us closer to our user vision.
  • Measure What Matters : Define metrics to measure experience quality (e.g., task success, time to completion, drop-off) and collaborate with product/data to implement and iterate.

Who You Are

  • Have 7+ years in UX design, preferably in consumer fintech
  • You’ve led UX for a consumer fintech or banking product, ideally in early-stage (0→1) environments.
  • You’ve shipped full user journeys — not just screens — and understand how to design across constraints (legal, regulatory, tech debt).
  • You know that great UX is a cross-functional outcome , and you’re not afraid to challenge team members if something breaks the user promise.
  • You’ve coached designers to think in terms of experience, not just visual design.
  • You write clearly, think in systems, and design with intent.
  • You care deeply about customer experience beyond the app — support channels, delayed KYC triggers, transactional emails, even what a blocked card feels like.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to crypto/web3 flows (wallet connections, bridging, gas fees, etc.)
  • Experience working on DeFi, exchanges, or digital wallet products

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Lead to spearhead Mantle’s product design team and oversee the design strategy for core ecosystem products, including the mETH Protocol , Rewards Station , and the Mantle Website .

In this role, you will lead a globally distributed team of designers, set the standard for Mantle’s design practices, and collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure a unified, user-first design language across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor a team of three product designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
    • Drive professional development for the design team and ensure alignment with Mantle’s goals.
  • Design Strategy:
    • Develop and execute design strategies for both new and existing products.
    • Identify opportunities to improve user experiences and implement solutions effectively.
    • Collaborate closely with the Ecosystem Product Lead to devise strategies that boost product appeal, engagement, and conversion rates.
    • Partner with the communications design team to support go-to-market strategies.
  • Design Consistency:
    • Unify the design language across all Mantle products to deliver a seamless and consistent user experience.
    • Advocate for and implement best practices in design systems and UX strategy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and ecosystem partners to align design efforts with business objectives.
    • Represent the product design team in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
Required

Skills & Experience

  • Proven Leadership: Minimum of 7 years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Crypto Expertise: Past experience in designing crypto products, with a strong understanding of blockchain technologies and user behavior.
    • Good-to-have: Candidate is a crypto native
  • UX & Design Systems: Demonstrated ability to create, manage, and scale design systems and UX strategies.
  • Product-First Mindset: Ability to integrate user needs with cross-functional requirements, ensuring designs align with broader product and business goals.

As the Director of UX Design for Digital Customer Solutions at DHL Express, you will lead the design strategy for our digital platforms, creating seamless, user-centered experiences for our global customers. You will oversee a distributed design team, driving innovation, quality, and efficiency while balancing customer needs with business priorities.
We are looking for an experienced leader with strong design expertise, business acumen, and a proven record of managing global teams. You should be results-driven, skilled at using data to inform decisions, and able to iterate quickly. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, you will take ownership, mentor others, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
The role location is either Singapore or Bonn, Germany.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
Lead and develop a high-performing UX design team focused on creating compelling digital customer experiences across DHL Express platforms.
Define and execute the UX vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer service teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.
Champion user research, data-driven design, and usability testing to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Advocate for best practices in usability, accessibility, and responsive design within a fast-paced, global organization.
Manage stakeholder relationships, balancing business objectives with customer-centric design principles.
Drive UX innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Management Responsibility
This role will have direct management responsibility for two team members, as well as indirect oversight of the ITS design team.
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Design field (e.g., UX, Management, Innovation Management, Service Design, C57gor related field.
Preferred if the candidate has had some managerial training.
10-12 years of experience in leading UX design teams within complex, digital-first environments.
Strong expertise in digital customer solutions, user research, and service design.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate customer insights into actionable design strategies that impact business success.
Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Mural, MS Suite, Adobe, etc).
Excellent facilitation skills to plan, lead, and execute workshops with cross-functional teams.
Experience working in logistics, supply chain, or related industries is a plus.

UR is a borderless smart money app that makes it easy to spend and off-ramp, all in one place. Built for both crypto natives and the crypto curious, UR simplifies the way people and businesses move between digital assets and fiat currencies. Self-custodial, fast, and intuitive, UR turns complex crypto workflows into a seamless everyday experience.
We are currently in beta, with multiple user types and we need someone who obsesses over how these people experience UR — end-to-end.
What You’ll Do
Own the UX Strategy : Lead the end-to-end experience thinking across the product — from onboarding, card activation, and crypto on-ramping, to fiat exits, cross-chain transfers, and KYC loops.
Design for User Modes : Understand and design for user context and what that means for their in-app experience, default paths, information surfaces, and UI affordances.
Drive User Research : Define what research should be done (qualitative interviews, usage data, surveys, prototypes), the questions we’re answering, and the outcomes we want. Then lead and execute it.
UX Writing : Own key UX copy surfaces — from onboarding instructions to empty states, tooltips, and error messages and ensure they are simple, human, and precise.
Mentor & Guide Designers : Work closely with our UI-focused designers to raise the UX maturity of the team.
Collaborate Cross-functionally : Be a strong partner to product and engineering. Question legacy flows, challenge technical constraints, and help shape UX-informed tradeoffs that move us closer to our user vision.
Measure What Matters : Define metrics to measure experience quality (e.g., task success, time to completion, drop-off) and collaborate with product/data to implement and iterate.
Who You Are
Have 7+ years in UX design, preferably in consumer fintech
You’ve led UX for a consumer fintech or banking product, ideally in early-stage (0→1) environments.
You’ve shipped full user journeys — not just screens — and understand how to design across constraints (legal, regulatory, tech debt).
You know that great UX is a cross-functional outcome, and you’re not afraid to challenge team members if something breaks the user promise.
You’ve coached designers to think in terms of experience, not just visual design.
You write clearly, think in systems, and design with intent.
You care deeply about customer experience beyond the app — support channels, delayed KYC triggers, transactional emails, even what a blocked card feels like.
Nice to Have
Exposure to crypto/web3 flows (wallet connections, bridging, gas fees, etc.)
Experience working on DeFi, exchanges, or digital wallet products

As
UX Design Lead , you will own and scale the
end-to-end user experience
for UR across multiple user journeys — from onboarding and KYC, to crypto on/off-ramping, cross-chain transfers, and card activation. This role blends product strategy, UX research, copy, and cross-functional leadership.
Lead UX Strategy : Own experience architecture across flows — onboarding, card use, transfers, KYC, etc.
Context-Driven Design : Adapt UX to different user modes and decision points.
User Research & Metrics : Plan and lead research initiatives; define metrics for success (e.g., drop-offs, completion rates).
UX Writing : Write clear, human, in-app copy — tooltips, error states, onboarding tips.
Mentor Designers : Coach UI designers to elevate UX thinking across the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Challenge constraints and align design, product, and engineering on user-centric decisions.
Design Systems Thinking : Ensure experiences are cohesive, consistent, and contextually meaningful.
What You Bring
7+ years
of UX design experience, ideally within
consumer fintech
or
digital banking
Proven success designing and shipping full user journeys in
0→1
or early-stage products
Strong research, writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strategic thinking balanced with a hands-on, iterative mindset
Comfortable navigating constraints (e.g., regulatory, technical, compliance)
Experience mentoring or leading other designers
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on user experience — even beyond the app
Familiarity with
crypto/Web3 UX
(wallets, bridging, gas fees)
Experience in
DeFi, digital wallets, or exchanges
