Manage the QA teams in Incoming and Outgoing inspections, Value-Add processes, customer and supplier quality issues.

Responsibilities:-

• Lead and provide support to the QA Manager in the QA functions.
• Assist the QA Manager in the implementation of the company’s certificated quality and management systems.
• Assist the QA Manager to manage customer audits as and when required.
• Perform supplier quality system audit when necessary
• Perform monthly QA performance report
• Interpret rejection criteria and evaluate rejected material
• Manage supplier and customer quality issues.
• Manage the value-add process and implement controls to ensure the quality of the product.

Based in Singapore, the QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the web and mobile applications are robust, conform to specifications, are free of bugs, and are usable for end users.

What will you do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium based on project needs. Experience with visual or snapshot testing tools such as Jest (snapshot testing), Percy, Chromatic, or Storybook is a plus.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and define test coverage.
• Execute manual and automated functional, regression, and smoke tests across web and/or mobile platforms.
• Investigate test failures, triage bugs, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks, following best practices like Page Object Model.
• Write and manage API tests using tools like Postman or REST Assured to validate backend logic.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives), and provide testing estimates.
• Stay updated with emerging QA tools and practices, recommend improvements to quality processes.
• Work independently and thrive in an Agile environment.

What do we expect

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software QA.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain test scripts.
• Programming skills in at least one language (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#), with an understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.

• Non-Conformance Management: Addressing quality issues and non-conformances by investigating the root cause, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring preventative measures are in place.
• Collaboration: Working closely with production teams, engineering, and other relevant departments to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.
• Audits and Compliance: Participating in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, such as ISO 9001, and relevant industry regulations.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all quality control activities, including inspection results, test data, and non-conformance reports.
• Training and Development: Providing training to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

Specific Skills and Knowledge:

• Blueprint Reading: Understanding technical drawings and specifications is crucial.
• Welding Processes: Familiarity with welding procedures, welder qualifications, and related standards (AWS D1.1, BS EN, ISO) is often required.
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Knowledge of NDT methods for detecting flaws in metal components.
• Quality Management Systems: Understanding and experience with quality management systems like ISO 9001.
• Problem-Solving Tools: Familiarity with tools like 8D, Fishbone diagrams, and Pareto analysis for root cause analysis.
• Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
• Liaising with clients: Communicating with clients on quality-related matters and addressing their concerns.

To support in the performance of Quality Assurance and Engineering functions such as performing quality inspections, QMS, support customer complaints and supplier feedback, to ensure that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.

Job Requirements

• Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control inspections and testing in semiconductor or electronic manufacturing.
• Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Problem Solving Technique.
• Knowledge is Quality Management System (ISO9001).
