Proactively identify opportunities for further expansion or improvement of services delivered to the customer and liaise with the Account Manager(s) for development of that opportunity
Participate in tenders and contribute to tender proposal, provide inputs in project delivery effort, risks and review compliance to tender requirement
Be involved in pre-sale activities and provide leadership to the project team to ensure that proposals/ enhancements are fully analysed and evaluated for benefits and cost
Team Management
Participate in leadership activities and providing performance feedback and developmental coaching
Monitor and improve team performance, conduct team building, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management
Build, lead and motivate a high performing team with innovative culture
Lead, guide, manage and motivate the projects’ team members in delivering quality project works, eliminating project exceptions and delighting the customers
Plan for optimal use of resources across teams comprising of Project and Technical competencies

More than 15 years of project management experience

What will you do?

Project Management

  • Analyse and document requirements by liaising with a range of people including users and managers, drawing together information needs across a distributed organization. Understand customer needs so as to alight them to IT planning and management.

  • Negotiate with vendors and across teams to ensure adequate resources are available during various phases of the project
  • Build relationships with users, technical staff and management to determine and resolve issues associated with systems implementation

  • Negotiate with customers on change request effort, schedules and prioritize changes based on business needs
  • Clear and open communication with customers on project issues or clarification.

Team Management

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the managing and implementing of medium-scale IT/ Engineering projects with quality, within scope and to ensure deliverables are on time and conform to processes and standards meeting customer's requirements

Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

  • Analyse and document requirements by liaising with a range of people including users and managers, drawing together information needs across a distributed organization
  • Establish and prepare project plans, risk management plans, project milestones and deliverables in consultation with business users and architect/designer
  • Develop high cadence within the project team for escalated tracks, including daily stand-up and tracking the Action Items Register.
  • Manage the implementation of the project on a daily basis with regard to schedules, budget, manpower and quality
  • Manage the scope definition and change control mechanism
  • Escalate and discuss project overrun issues, scope creep, integration issues, resource requirements with Project Director (PD)/ Delivery Lead
  • Manage integration of various components of the project including hardware, software installation, testing, business process review, redesign, application development, migration, and data conversion etc.
  • Manage project activities to ensure timely delivery, including identification of critical path, monitoring and driving completion of interdependent activities and adjustment to project schedules to achieve overall completion deadline
  • Manage resources including hardware, software, human resource facilities and logistics required for project so as to ensure completion within budget.
  • Review project documentation to ensure that it meets customers requirement and conforms to quality management process, standards and procedures to minimize rework and system failures
  • Define project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations

Customer/ Vendor Management

  • Negotiate with vendors and across teams to ensure adequate resources are available during various phases of the project
  • Build relationships with clients, technical staff and management to determine and resolve issues associated with systems implementation
  • Manage contractors and subcontractors
  • Negotiate with clients on change request effort, schedules and prioritize changes based on business needs
  • Clear and open communication with clients on project issues or clarifications

Financial Management

  • Perform financial forecasting on the project financials including cost scheduling, revenue scheduling, client billing plan and internal charging plan
  • Ensure that the project financials are within the approved budgets

Team Managemen

  • Liaise with team members to ensure that all tasks and deliverables are proceeding according to schedule
  • Plan, track and monitor the tasks assigned to the team leader/ members
  • Delegate tasks effectively by providing clear and specific instructions and goals
  • Provide leadership to the project team to ensure that proposals/enhancements are fully analyzed and evaluated for their benefits and costs
  • Provide the project team with accurate information about business needs and priorities as well as details about existing business systems
  • Participate in leadership activities and providing performance feedback and developmental coaching
  • Monitor and improve team performance, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management

As a Project Manager, you'll play a crucial part in manage, define and implement IT infrastructure security projects and the quality and progress of these projects to ensure on time, effective project outcomes.

What will you do?

Project Management

  • As project manager, manage infrastructure security deployment projects involving security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems, VPN, authentication, content filtering, anti-virus, patch management, data loss prevention, SIEM, etc.
  • To ensure the project tasks are monitor, track and complete on time and negotiate with the customer if there is any delay or/and gaps
  • Manage internal project team members and external vendor or/and partners
  • Responsible for the project P&L, financial forecast and ensure the cost is within the budgeted cost

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 5 years IT project management experience
  • Preferably a degree in IT equivalent qualifications with experience as project manager position in the SI industry
  • Experience as a technical lead in migration projects, which involve security, LAN/WAN and servers.
  • Knowledge or experience in firewall, IPS, IDS, VPN, authentication, anti-virus, content filtering, patch management, cloud security, web & database security, data loss prevention & SIEM is a plus point
  • Knowledge or experience in LAN internetworking, including hubs, switches, load-sharing equipment and bandwidth optimizers is a plus point
  • Knowledge or experience in OS-hardening, UNIX and Window platforms is a plus point
  • PMP certification and CISSP certification is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, writing and communication skill
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn new technologies and able to work under pressure
  • Due to government project sensitivity, we will only consider Singapore Citizen
