Your new role
This role will spearhead end-to-end integration of diverse platforms and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, while enhancing cybersecurity, application development, and operational excellence for high-impact clients in defence, government, and commercial sectors.
As Technical Lead – Secure Systems & Infrastructure , you will be responsible for:
- Oversee complex technical integration projects and ensure cross-platform interoperability
- Manage infrastructure across VMWare ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Windows environments
- Design and implement custom APIs and applications to bridge COTS product gaps
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including host hardening, vulnerability assessments, encryption, and SSL integration
- Develop tools using Node.js and Python to support seamless integrations
- Integrate a wide range of third-party products such as JBoss, Apache Reverse Proxy, SAS Viya, SAS DMS, Milestone, Elixir DCT, and Thales Encryption
- Deploy and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps

- At least 10 years in senior technical or management roles
- Deep expertise in system infrastructure and integration

Support and Maintain Application Servers in all the three environments, Production, UAT and Development.
Responsible for day-to-day administration tasks and routine maintenance of Oracle WebLogic, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Apache Tomcat application servers and OutSystems Platform.
Assist in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, contributing to process optimization and configuration management.
Identify and resolve problems relating to critical service operations and to prevent their recurrence using different methods of automation.
Be involved in the design and subsequent implementation of software and service infrastructure.
Maintain the Middleware Administration standards, and operating procedures that is aligned to NIE Cyber Security & IT policy and procedures, and NIE IT Service Management Framework.
Provide recommendation to management and stakeholders on the technology roadmap and Middleware integration with Enterprise and cloud systems.
Requirements
Minimally a Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline.

Experience with automation/ integration tools like Jenkins and proficient in developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines.
