Recreational Coordinator Job Opportunity
Are you an experienced recreational professional seeking a new challenge? We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Recreational Coordinator to join our team. As a Recreational Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our indoor and outdoor recreation facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee the planning and execution of recreational activities for guests of all ages
- Ensure the health, safety, and security of all guests while participating in recreational activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance of recreation facilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of new recreational programs and services
- Monitor and control budgets for recreation facilities and programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance recreation offerings
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in recreation management or a related field
- Degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles

Roles and responsibilities
Confidently conduct adventure (camp or otherwise) activities and facilitate students’ reflection and learning.
Very well versed in and providing safety instructions on technical equipment for adventure activities
Very well versed in carrying out safety protocols to ensure participants’ safety.
Undertake all other admin or logistics tasks necessary for the correct execution of any adventure (camp or otherwise) activities.
Able to plan and evaluate and assess the adventure activities, and determine if the learning goals are in the proocess of being achieved, or ultimately achieved.
Able to undertake all of the above in both land (including those at great heights) and water activities.
Requirements
You should love outdoor adventure programs, camps, or activities.
Be fit without medical conditions that will prevent you from executing any of the above.
Able to connect and engage with students.
Able to handle stress.
***Must be able to execute and take charge and be responsible and supervise land (including those at great heights) and water activities.
Experience and certificates or courses for conducting outdoor activities.
In addition, Instructors should ideally be able do the following:
1. Draw out Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies in the participants,
especially
- Self-Management,
- Relationship (peers, teachers and parents/guardian) and
- Responsible Decision Making skills.
2. Empower participants to improve their resilience and cooperate with others towards a common objective.
3. Create an enviornment enhancing experience and learning opportunities of the participants towards the school’s Learning for Life Programme (LLP) values and develop social emotional competencies, self-efficacies, leadership and competencies, such as:
Preparing participants for future roles in society.
To counter bad influences in society.
Moral values such as:
Honesty.
Hard work.
Respect for others.
Cooperation.
Compassion.
Forgiveness.
