This role involves working with a team to conduct research on the impact of structured arts programs on seniors' health and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Public Health, Social Sciences, Arts Administration, or related fields.

Key responsibilities include assisting with participant engagement, data collection, and ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations. Additionally, the Research Officer will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating arts program sessions, managing data, and supporting analysis and interpretation of findings.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in research, program facilitation, or working with seniors is highly desirable.

2. To teach the MindChamps Music curriculum to all levels of students in Preschool. PG – K2.

3. Teachers will be teaching a comprehensive music literacy curriculum that includes instruction in singing, percussion, keyboards, recorder and violin (in the upper grades).

4. MindChamps Music is part taught within the current curriculum framework during the regular Preschool hours.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Prior experience in classroom teaching.

2. Experience in teaching music to children.

3. Demonstrated musical competency on at least 2 instruments (piano and violin preferred)

4. Suzuki violin, keyboard, solfege (do-re-mi syllables) is a plus.

Job Description

The position requires the candidate to conduct music lessons to pre-schoolers at EtonHouse centres. The ideal candidate would be a person who can also assume a role as a teacher.

• Work collaboratively with children, teachers and the community of EtonHouse to develop a , fun, educational music/movement activities and deepens the learning that is taking place through class initiated inquiries;
• Create a variety of opportunities for children to express themselves and make discoveries using the children songs, lyrics and movements related to the curriculum as well as performance theme music;
• Meet regularly with the class teachers and curriculum coordinator to discuss ideas and connections to the current inquiries;
• Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and professionalism;
• Undertake continued professional development and share the scope of Music Teacher with the school community;
• Document children's learning making connections to the curriculum. For example; portfolio entries, newsletters, community display boards;

Qualifications

• Diploma in education with a major in music, or a diploma/degree in music or Diploma in Music Performance/ Speech & Drama

We work with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disability (ID), selective mutism, speech delay, tics, and more, to help them become music makers.

Your Role with Us

• Conducting individual piano enrichment sessions catered to each child in accordance to the school's teaching system
• Preparing weekly lesson plans through setting goals and aims for students in line with the school's curriculum
