Salary range: S$174,000 - S$216,000 SGD per annum + RSUs

About the Spend Squad:

We build products that allow our customers to spend their money anywhere in the world. We currently process about £26 billion annually and issue cards to over 40 countries. We are also building out features which localise the spending experience no matter where you are.

As the lead of the mobile team you would be responsible for shipping the direct customer touch points on one of Wise's most impactful products.

  • The engineering team will support the card product across all stages, card order, transacting, 3ds, bill split, recurring payments, dispute resolution and much more.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring one or multiple high-performing engineering teams.
  • A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
  • Strong technical skills in either iOS or Android development.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • You are able to pivot effectively when priorities change, quickly re-prioritizing and adjusting workflows to meet objectives, and you are impactful when doing work in the weeds with the teams.
  • You are comfortable working in a globally distributed squad and tribe, and driving projects across multiple teams and disciplines.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Mobile Engineering to support our Web3 initiatives OR CEFI. This role will be instrumental in driving mobile development, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to architectural and strategic decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor, and support the mobile team to achieve project milestones.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance in mobile development and architectural design.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers (PMs), Product Designers (PDs), Backend Engineers, Business Development (BD), Marketing, and other stakeholders to align goals and execute projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop cutting-edge features for the all-in-one OKX SuperApp, driving innovation and enhancing the user experience.
  • Lead and collaborate with international teams to deliver high-quality business solutions and define technical objectives.
  • Optimize performance to ensure the app delivers seamless and satisfying experiences to millions of users.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching industry trends and evaluating innovative solutions to meet our fast-growing business needs.
  • Partner with design and product teams to transform creative ideas into scalable, quality features.
  • Deliver customized solutions for international users while maintaining architectural consistency across the platform.
  • Document processes and strategies effectively to improve cross-office and cross-timezone collaboration.
What We Look For In You
  • Over 6 years of development experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing teams of 5 or more.
  • Deep understanding of mobile development methodologies and engineering architecture, with a strong sense of initiative and a proven ability to drive results.
  • Proficient in defining and tracking key metrics, assigning roles effectively, and ensuring resources are allocated equitably to achieve organizational goals.
  • Experienced in setting and communicating team priorities that align with broader organizational objectives.
  • Capable of defining technical direction and roadmaps to deliver high-quality features and enhance engineering productivity.
  • Adept at designing, guiding, and reviewing system architectures while contributing to product or system development.
  • Exemplifies leadership qualities, fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity while building, developing, and retaining diverse and high-performing teams.
